How To Play Football Squares
Step 1 – Find a Pool
Your office, friends, or local bar may have a Super Bowl betting pool. Contact them and sign up to be included.
Step 2 – Get The Grid
Once you sign up for a football pool the organizer will hand out the Super Bowl squares template. Here is where the fun begins. Before the grid is filled out, one team will be labeled on the X axis (horizontal) and the other will be assigned to the Y-axis (vertical).
Step 3 – Buy Your Football Squares
The number of squares you buy is up to you. They will have the same price which can range from a few dollars to several hundred, depending on the stakes involved.
Step 4 – Assigning Numbers
Once the Super Bowl boxes are filled, the numbers will be drawn randomly for both the horizontal and vertical axis so that every box is labeled with a digit for each team.
Step 5 – Figure Out Winners
A winner(s) will be determined at the end of the 1st quarter, 2nd quarter, 3rd quarter, and once the game goes final.
The winner is determined by looking at the last number in each teams’ score, and then matching those numbers on the grid and seeing which square intersects those two numbers.
