Of all the Fixed signs, Aquarius is notoriously obsessive. Much like Aries, Aquarius refuses to lose and has the staying power to ensure they do so. Aquarius, too, is blessed with the Air sign ability to read people in an instant, and are highly attuned to their environment, always playing the ‘Long Game.’
Aquarius’ famously aloof demeanor combined with their natural ability to psychoanalyze any given opponent in any given situation gives them an edge at games like Poker. Aquarius Poker Champion Chris Ivey is a classic example, able to pick up on even the subtlest cues and clues while everyone else remains none the wiser.
Aquarius, you have one of the most interesting years ahead in 2021, with both Saturn and Jupiter in your sign this year, marking a period of cautious optimism that can prove very lucrative indeed.
With Saturn in your sign, you may feel burdened in the early months of 2021, and you’re sure to feel particularly restricted when Saturn forms its tense series of alignments with Uranus in Taurus on February 17, June 14, and December 24th.
But Saturn rewards hard work, and no one’s more willing to put in requisite legwork than Aquarius. In fact, you might be the ‘luckiest’ sign of all this year, Aquarius, as you’re the ones who’ll benefit from Jupiter’s influence the most in 2021, especially around the time of the second set of Eclipses this year, on November 19 and December 4.
The dates I’d be cautious about for you, Aquarius, are when Mercury goes retrograde in your house of Games and Gambling, from May 29 – June 22, when your desire to let loose and have fun may cloud your judgment and inadvertently compromise your ability to hedge your bets.
Aquarius is the Mad Hatter of the Zodiac, known for their love of Mind Games, which they (ironically) employ unconsciously. And if whatever mind games Aquarius gets up to are indeed conscious tricks designed to throw off their competition?
It’ll typically be for the sole purpose of entertaining themselves, as Aquarius loves nothing more than to see their opponent get all worked up, delighting in pushing buttons you never even knew you had.
Stubborn in the extreme, Aquarius’ primary strength in any game is less Strategy than ‘Anti-strategy,’ preferring to rely on their unparalleled mental focus, quickness, and dexterity than on calculated maneuvering of any kind.
Aside from Scorpio, Aquarius is arguably the most paradoxical of all the Zodiac signs, seeming on the surface to be what unsuspecting others may call ‘out to lunch’ – an appearance that mystifies friends and foes alike, as Aquarius’ power of concentration and ability to recall even the subtlest of details, though rarely obvious on the surface, allows them to keep both eyes firmly fixed on the prize – no matter what that prize might be.
As focused as Aquarius can be on winning, they’re ruled by Uranus, a planet of unpredictability and sudden, unexpected change.
This natural affinity with what can only be called Chaos Theory is one of Aquarius’ paradoxical advantages when it comes to placing any bet, as they’re hyper-aware of both the dedication it takes to win and the randomness of life.
This makes them uniquely aware that losses are, to some degree, inevitable and, as a result, able to bounce back from even the toughest of defeats. This gives Aquarius an obvious advantage when it comes to games like Craps and Roulette, which they’ll be happy to engage in purely for the purpose of social engagement, momentary excitement, and/or stress relief.
Aquarius loves team sports, so Sports Betting is a good option, if only because they make the greatest fans. Poker, too, is ideal for Aquarius, however, they’re not likely to gamble ‘for real’ at anything that’s too high stakes.
So, unless Aquarius decides to pursue Poker on a professional level? They’ll likely keep the gambling to late-night hours spent among friends than in under any pressure-cooker situations.
Aquarius Michael Jordan is a perfect example of his Sun Sign, as Aquarius is on the one hand obsessed with winning, but even more so with their Love of the Game. Though Jordan was thought of at one point as a ‘Gambling Addict,’ whatever games he bet on typically involved games of cards or golf with friends, or trips to the casino to blow off steam.
But don’t forget: his focus was always on perfection when it came to his performance on the basketball court.
Aquarius Paul Newman, famous for his roles in films like Cool Hand Luke and The Color of Money, embodies the aloofness so often attributed to Aquarius. Behind the detached demeanor, though, there’s a lot underneath the surface.
Aquarius is the most paradoxical of the Sun Signs: known as the Zodiac’s Mad Hatter, whenever you’re with an Aquarius, you might always feel as if you’re at some kind of mysterious disadvantage. Why? Because Aquarius as far as Aquarius is concerned, ‘Yes’ means ‘No’ and ‘No’ means ‘Yes.’
Does it get them into trouble? Of course. But this is the way Aquarius is. There’s no explanation. This is why Aquarius makes such a good Actor – they’re ‘lucky’ as if by total accident.
However, and this is big, however, should Aquarius be underestimated (or, even worse, told they ‘can’t’ do one thing or another)? Rest assured, they’ll most certainly make it their life’s work to prove you wrong.
I brought Michael Jordan to your attention for a reason: he’s the perfect example of the Aquarius who gambles. Aquarius always has a primary goal – an obsession that consumes them on every level. If it’s Poker? They’ll win. Basketball? They’ll do it.
Whatever it is though, it’s this that keeps their feet on the ground. In other words? When it comes to Aquarius, it’s not (really) about the Win. It’s about how you play the game.
