As anyone familiar with the famous Kenny Rogers tune knows, the Gambler should never count their money while sitting at the table, know when to walk away, and, of course, when to run.
Gemini, however, isn’t known for its penchant for following The Rules. Like Sagittarius, Gemini loves a good prank, and is generally ‘in it’ for the fun – not necessarily for personal gain, preferring to indulge in the social element of the game than get deep into any strategy.
This, of course, makes Gemini all the more attractive to those around them, with a boyish quality that often inspires others to give them chance after chance, in spite of whatever bad reputation, rap sheet (or even criminal record) that Gemini may or may not have.
2021 holds the potential for some fascinating revelations and unexpected opportunities, with Jupiter in Aquarius in your sector of Risk-Taking and Adventure, though with Saturn in this sector as well this year, you’d be wisest to take risks that are more calculated than usual this year, Gemini.
The trick will be to still your mind, and in doing so quell your restlessness, which is likely to reach something of a fever pitch in the weeks leading up to the first Eclipse of 2021, occurring in your sign!
This Lunar Eclipse in Gemini on May 26, flooding you with so many ideas and emotions that it’ll likely be overwhelming. This may be a good time to blow off steam, however, since Mercury will also be moving retrograde, also in the sign of Gemini.
I’d bet small at this time, as you might later regret any big decisions or commitments made during this period, which lasts until June 22. Both Jupiter and Neptune, the Cosmic Santa Claus & Co., will begin their long-term retrograde cycles on June 20th and June 25, respectively, meaning that May – June is likely to be an especially confusing time of the year for you more than any of the other Sun signs.
The other Mercury retrograde period that you should look out for occurs from September 27 – October 18, moving through your sector of Games and Gambling, so it’d be best to avoid placing any big-time bets around this time of year as well.
With this in mind, we have a very ‘lucky’ Eclipse in ‘money sign’ Taurus on November 19th that inspires you to dig deep into your wild imagination and capitalize on the many fruitful ideas just waiting to be discovered and capitalized on, followed by the ‘luckiest’ Eclipse of 2021, which occurs in your opposite sign of Sagittarius on December 4.
This latter Eclipse is likely to bring a flood of new friends, pushing you to ‘put yourself out there,’ bringing more opportunities for a committed partnership that, business or personal, has incredible potential to enrich your life in ways that will benefit you significantly well beyond 2021.
Mutable signs are known for their impulsivity and short attention spans. This is especially the case for Gemini, who typically can’t resist their ever-present urge to count whatever chickens, cards or chips under the table before the dealing’s done.
As the Zodiac’s Mutable Air sign, Gemini is a natural-born communicator – a smooth talker with more of a dressed-up babyface than a Poker Face, tending to show (if not verbally blurt) whatever they’re thinking. Gemini doesn’t have the patience for activities requiring excessive amounts of strategic planning, preferring to live a life ‘on the edge,’ thriving off of adrenaline and spontaneity.
Gemini is the Trickster of the Zodiac, ruled by planet Mercury, representing the speed of thought and action, as well as the ability to adapt quickly and easily to even the fastest-changing circumstances and environments.
One of Gemini’s greatest strengths is their ability to live and exist in the present, rarely considering how whatever they do (or say) now could impact their long-term chances of future success.
Like fellow Air signs Libra and Aquarius, Gemini is a highly social sign, easily working in any room and making all kinds of connections with their signature charm, glib humor, and ‘sparkly’ demeanor.
With all that glitters on the brain, Gemini is most prone to ‘Shiny Ball Syndrome,’ easily distracted by and drawn to pursue whatever (or whoever) seems to be the shiniest object in the room.
Cheap thrills are what drive Gemini, as their minds move so quickly from one idea to the next that they require (or perhaps expect) whatever pastime they engage in to be quick and easy, as Gemini has little patience when it comes to waiting for an answer to a ‘Yes or No’ question, much less for the outcome of some long, drawn-out game of Poker.
This makes games of pure excitement like Slots, Roulette, or Craps perfect for Gemini, who naturally gravitates toward easy pay-offs and instant gratification.
And though Gemini’s impatience eliminates any penchant for elaborate strategies and complex calculations, no other Sun sign can rebound from a loss like Gemini, knowing that ‘luck’ is indeed a transient thing.
This is precisely what keeps Gemini rolling the dice, intuitively aware that the real wins come to them via their talent for mixing and mingling, cracking jokes, entertaining their audience in style, and somehow managing to order bottle service for the table all at once.
Gemini is the ‘Social Media Mogul’ of the Zodiac, thriving in cultivating a captivating persona, intent as they are on thrilling their adoring onlookers. The excitement being the impetus for Gemini’s existence, they’re keenly aware of the monetary value of Shock Value.
This isn’t to say that Gemini has nothing going on upstairs – just the opposite in fact – but simply that Gemini knows just how to communicate the right amount of information at exactly the right time. That is before they shift their focus to the next Shiny Ball that catches their eye.
Donald Trump is a classic example of this effect, biting off more business than he could realistically chew to gain the esteem of his Father. Yet, in reality, most of his business dealings were either fraudulent or nonexistent.
Known for his signature ability to masquerade as a Millionaire, getting contracts and funding for major construction and real estate projects, only to write off an inordinate number of expenses on his tax returns and often failing to pay employees once the job was done.
Perhaps ironically, this particular Gemini was really at his (financial) best when basking in the bright and shiny lights of Showbiz, thriving in his slick suits as he played himself on his well-liked television franchise, The Apprentice.
