New Jersey Online Casino Revenue up 24.9% in 2017

New Jersey online gaming operators finished 2017 with their best year to date. Online casino gross gaming revenue in New Jersey totaled $245.6m in 2017, an increase of 24.9% on 2016 and a new record for the US state. 2016 revenues totaled $196.8m

$245.6m represents the highest annual total amount of gaming win since Chris Christie and the New Jersey regulators first legalized online gambling back in November 2013.

Till the end of 2017 the state had been able to generate $722m in total online casino revenue. New Jersey land based operators also saw a rise in revenues with win up 0.3% to $2.4b in 2017.

Online Casino lead the way with $221.3m out of the $245.6m in total revenue. Leaving poker generating only $22.6m for the 12-month period.

Punters are expecting for milder growth in 2018, estimates range from 10-18%. But with 2 new operators slated to join the pack, Hard Rock and Ocean Club, we could potentially see growth well beyond that.
