Caesars Entertainment once again dominates headlines in the gaming industry, and NJ sports betting, with the spotlight focusing on Caesars Online Casino this time.
Caesars Casino Online Brings Sports Betting To New Jersey
Fresh off introducing sports betting setups at two of their casinos in Atlantic City, namely Bally’s and Harrah’s Resort, Caesars have unveiled their latest step in their march towards the total domination of the sports betting industry from day one – the launch of Caesars Casino & Sports betting mobile app. While currently available for use as Caesars Casino Online, the idea is to combine and streamline their New Jersey offering by merging Caesars Online Casino and their sportsbook.
“We want to offer our players a full casino experience and give them the opportunity to play their favorite casino games and also place wagers on sports within the same application, and have it be a seamless experience.”
Melanie Gross, Vice President of Online Casinos, Caesars Entertainment
Caesaes Casino App Powered By SG Digital
The news broke just days after Caesars revealed to the public that they would be teaming up Scientific Games (SG). Many felt that they would prove to be the ideal partner in this particular endeavor thanks to their mobile app expertise. SG will use their knowledge and experience in this area to develop and run mobile sports betting app with its own SG Digital tech. App users will be able to alternate between sports betting and the online casino, setting this up as a significant success for Caesars Online Casino once it is off the ground.
“When the idea of PASPA (Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act) getting repealed became real, we looked at a number of different options available to us. And the right choice for our business includes one app for both casino and sports.”
Melanie Gross, Vice President of Online Casinos, Caesars Entertainment
While we are still awaiting the launch date fate when mobile sports betting goes live, the casino's features page at Caesars Online Casino says that the Caesars Casino & Sports app will be “coming soon”. Most industry experts that will almost certainly be before the next big date on the sports betting calendar – the start of the 2018/2019 football season.
“We see football as a great opportunity. The next big sports season following the repeal of PASPA and the opportunity to go live was football, and it was a natural progression to aim for that target.”
Melanie Gross, Vice President of Online Casinos, Caesars Entertainment
With their mobile app in place, Caesars will satisfy the sports betting needs of not only those from New Jersey but those fanatical sports, betting and sports betting punters but also those semi-obsessed fans from New York and Pennsylvania who need but drive for a few minutes to be able to place bets on their favorite teams and players.
Caesars Sportsbook Gears Up For Beast Of A Week
The week that has just passed should go down as one of the most historic for the storied Caesars brand. After holding their tongues while other operators waxed lyrical about their plans to dominate and revolutionize sports betting from the outset, they finally showed their hand after unveiling their sportsbook first at Bally’s Wild Wild West Casino and then, two days later at Harrah’s.
This news has made Bally’s the 5th and 6th in the state of New Jersey to provide legalized and regulated sports betting. As things stand, legalized sports betting in New Jersey currently available at:
- Monmouth Park
- Borgata
- Ocean Resort Casino
- Meadowlands Racetrack
- Bally’s Wild Wild West Casino
- Harrah’s
Caesars Online Casino Is Now A Sports Betting Royalty
With football season about to kick off, several New Jersey operators are just itching to be able to provide both on-site sports betting and New sports betting mobile app before the whistle blows to start the first game. To stake their claim, Caesars has gone on record by announcing a partnership with MGM Resorts and DraftKings Sportsbook.
Just a few days ago it was announced to the public that MGM had become “the official gaming partner” of the National Basketball League (NBA). They dropped the second bombshell towards the end of the press conference by stating that they would bring out their mobile sports betting app in just a few days time. However, DraftKings stole a significant portion of their thunder by announcing the soft launch of the DraftKings Sportsbook mobile app in New Jersey, claiming the seemingly sought after title of being the first mobile sports betting app outside of the state of Nevada. None of this managed to dampen any of the genuine excitement many experienced when hearing of Caesars sports betting aims in New Jersey.
