With just 8 days before its opening on 28th June, Ocean Resort Casino AC is scheduled for a special hearing with the New Jersey Casino Control Commission on 20th June regarding its casino license application. This may be followed up by a further meeting on the 21st June depending on the outcome of the previous day.
Ocean Casino Online - Atlantic City is in for a Treat!
Ocean Resort executives don’t seem particularly perturbed by the lateness of the process, with Seth Schorr, CEO of Fifth Street Gaming, in his capacity as advisor to Ocean Resort, confirming that sentiment is good internally. He was quoted as saying that “it’s certainly not anything anybody’s worried about at this point”.
Meanwhile, the CCC confirmed that the Division of Gaming Enforcement had filed a report on the application. Daniel Heneghan spokesperson for the CCC, said that testimony would be heard on the application and Ocean Resort’s plans and operational intentions would be discussed; after which, the commission would assess the feedback and make a final decision on the application. If the license is granted as expected, Ocean Resort will still be required to undergo an ops test and building inspection as a procedural requirement.
By all appearances, Ocean Resort AC is steaming ahead with its plans to be on schedule. Schorr told the press during a media preview tour that 90% of the staff were already appointed, with literally hundreds of staff being trained every day.
Major Events Planned for Ocean Casino AC
He said their intention is not to focus on a single party at any venue on site during the opening; but rather to attract as many people as possible to view the spectacular 6.4 million square foot resort. The line-up of performers over the first few nights include Jermaine Dupri, Crooklyn Clan, Diplo, Kaskade, and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano.
Ocean Casino's License for Online and Offline Gaming Approved!
The granting of the Ocean Casino AC license, is of course, pivotal to a successful opening on 28th June, and seems to be the only outstanding piece of the puzzle at this stage. Ocean Casino online should unfold quite quickly after that.
Ocean Resort’s sportsbook will be operated by William Hill US, and single-game wagering on sports-betting is definitely on the cards with it being legalized by the state just this month. Given the impressive turn-out at Monmouth Park this past week, the sportsbook should be well supported.
Hard Rock Online Casino is Coming in Summer 2018 too!
The launching of Ocean Online Casino and Hard Rock Online Casino is seen as a massive boon for New Jersey, putting it back on the map as a tourist destination. Schorr described the re-developments as a “comeback story” and a “trifeca of opportunity” with the two developments and sports betting all coming to fruition at the same time.
There are certainly some very exciting times ahead for the boardwalk!
