When it comes to 2019 revenue for online casinos in New Jersey, Golden Nugget may have received the most press for their consistent performance at the top of the heap. However, Resorts Digital was able to achieve a plethora of success with new monthly records and a new year total that will give them optimism heading into 2019.
First, Resorts was able to jump to a new monthly revenue record for the fourth straight month, as they jumped nearly a million dollars from November's record to $11,948,495 in December based on the latest figures released from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. This is a huge leap from the $6-million range they were in during the summer.
Second, Resorts Digital was able to pass the $100-million level in total revenue for 2019. Considering they took in $45 million in 2018, it's a cause for celebration for sure.
Much like Golden Nugget has set up to boost their bottom line, Resorts Digital has four NJ online casinos that continue to power them to new heights as we enter a new decade:
- Resorts NJ Online Casino
- DraftKings Online Casino NJ
- Mohegan Sun Online Casino
- PokerStars NJ
Resorts Digital is now the top revenue earner out of the three online casinos in NJ that also have online poker, so it stands to reason that PokerStars NJ can be thanked for at least a sliver of that success. It gives them a source of revenue that many other brands, Golden Nugget included, cannot count on as we head into 2020.
Resorts Digital Establishes A New Revenue Record For The Fourth Straight Month
With NJ online casinos as a whole setting new records month after month in 2019, we often look for operators that could explain the jump. Since August, we could look to Resorts Digital as one of the main reasons for the overall revenue success in the Garden State.
Even as Golden Nugget dipped down a bit in December revenue, Resorts Digital was able to pick up the slack with their fourth-straight monthly revenue record according to the December figures from the NJ DGE. This gives us (and them) even more optimism as we head into 2020.

Resorts' new high of $11,948,495 in December assured them of being one of only two NJ online casinos that eclipse $10 million, although Borgata Online Casino is not too far behind in joining them.
As Resorts continued to set records in 2019, we recalculated their revenue pace for the year but never thought they'd pass $100 million until the December numbers came out. Their 2019 total of $100,095,983 easily doubled their 2018 revenue total of $45,307,723. Now we're left wondering what new heights Resorts Digital will establish in 2020 and beyond!
