Last month, our news on Resorts Digital's revenue was about its return to the $8-million mark and how they were approaching $9 million for the first time in its history. Consider that milestone destroyed according to the October 2019 numbers from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
After its most profitable month in September, Resorts set a new record in October with over $10 million in revenue. They are only the second NJ online casino to eclipse that level, joining Golden Nugget atop the revenue list.
Both Resorts and Golden Nugget's record revenue tallies helped New Jersey online gambling as a whole hit new heights once again, as Resorts had another impressive jump of $1.4 million from September, after leaping up nearly $1.5 million from August's numbers.
Let's dive into what is strengthening Resorts Digital's bottom line as they push further away from the rest of the pack:
- Resorts Online Casino
As the Resorts Digital brand continues to make gains in monthly revenue, so does its flagship website, Resorts Online Casino. The numbers don't lie; as the appeal from being the first land-based casino to open in Atlantic City to being one of the most popular online casinos in New Jersey, we may see the revenue trends continue upward.
- DraftKings Online Casino
DraftKings' well-known name not only carries from its daily fantasy sports site to DraftKings NJ Sportsbook, it also includes DraftKings Online Casino NJ. That is something its closest competitor, FanDuel Sportsbook, cannot boast as DraftKings continues to help Resorts become more profitable.
- Mohegan Sun Online Casino NJ
Resorts Digital and Mohegan Sun have had a great give-and-take partnership since 2012, as both brands grew together to the solid performer we see now, month-in and month-out.
- PokerStars NJ
Not every casino also offers NJ online poker, but it helps Resorts Digital's bottom line to have PokerStars adding to its revenue numbers. Poker is one thing that Golden Nugget doesn't offer, but Resorts does.
Resorts Digital Continues Upward Trend In Record-Breaking 2019
We mentioned last month about how Resorts was increasing the gap between them and third-place Borgata Online Casino. And as that gap has widened further based on the NJ DGE numbers for October, we're impressed by how Resorts has found themselves growing from the $6-million level during the summer to jumping well over $10 million in the Fall.

October saw Resorts Digital's revenue jump to $10,334,649 from September's previous record of $8,929,084. That is a leap of $1.405,565 from September, which opened up its lead over Borgata to $2.58 million.
Resorts continues to set personal records not only month-to-month but year-to-year now. 2018's total (with adjustments) came in at $45,307,723. They are now well on its way to doubling that total in 2019. With the $10 million-plus month of revenue in October, they now have a 2019 YTD total of $77,158,684; a monthly average of $7.72 million. That puts them on pace for $92,590,420, and what would be a reason to be very excited about what 2020 could bring for the Resorts Digital brand.
