The top four online casinos in New Jersey in terms of revenue have been as consistent as you can get for the entirety of 2019, with Golden Nugget Online Casino as the leader of the pack, far ahead of second-place Resorts Digital. The third and fourth place spots have consistently been Borgata Online Casino and Caesars Casino Online NJ. The overall numbers continue to grow for NJ online casinos as a whole, but a new development has started over the summer and continues to evolve as we saw in the August revenue numbers from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
Not only is the gap between third-place Borgata and fourth-place Caesars widening through the hot summer months, but we're also seeing Borgata making a strong push for second place out of all New Jersey online casinos, inching closer to Resorts Digital. Let's break down the details of both Borgata and Caesars for August.
Borgata Makes A Strong Push Toward Second Place With Over $7 Million In August
Borgata Online Casino has been trending upward throughout 2019, as we've reported them reaching monthly revenue highs repeatedly throughout the year. August 2019 was no different, as we saw Borgata climb over the $7-million mark for the first time in its history.

You can see early on in 2019, they were in the high-$4 million mark in revenue before climbing over $5 million in March. They hopped over the $6-million threshold in June but didn't stop the charge for second place. August 2019 saw them pulling in a record $7,134,339 in revenue, which is only $313,149 away from Resorts in second place. They widened the gap between them and fourth-place Caesars to $2.17 million, a huge leap from the $1.28 million lead they had over them in July.
This strong August for Borgata pushed their monthly pace to record numbers, as their 2019 year-to-date totals (with adjustments) stretched to $45,756,927; a monthly average of $5.72 million. This has them at a YTD pace of $68.64 million, which blows away their $54.32 million total for 2018. You can easily see that Borgata is one of the best NJ online casinos and we may find them in second place by the end of 2019.
Caesars Casino Online Maintains Fourth Spot With Fourth-Best Revenue Total In '19
Borgata Online may be pulling ahead and stretching their lead between third and fourth place, Caesars is still a strong brand that's kept its fourth-place spot throughout 2019. According to the NJ DGE, the August numbers show Caesars Online NJ taking in their fourth-best monthly revenue number with $4,965,364. Let's see how they've done throughout 2019 and compare it to 2018.

It's good news to see Caesars Online still around the high-$4 million level in monthly revenue, even if they slipped down from the $5.08 million number they pulled in, in July. Caesars now has a year-to-date total of $38,129,097 (with adjustments), giving them a solid monthly average of $4.77 million. That average would give them a total of $57.19 million for the year, easily trouncing the $45.65 million they took in for 2018. While Caesars may be losing its chance to break into the Top 3 of NJ online casino revenue, it's still solidifying the top spot firmly ahead of the rest of the pack.
