NJ Online Casino Borgata Sets New Revenue Record In October

We've reported on the multiple records set in monthly revenue for NJ online casinos in October, as Golden Nugget and Resorts Online Casino both jumped to new heights in the month. Count Borgata Online Casino as a new record-setter as well.

In a month where NJ online gambling revenue soared to over $45 million, Borgata and Caesars Online Casino both contributed with massive gains compared to September. The top 3 spots inhabited by Golden Nugget, Resorts Digital, and Borgata are as secure as they can be right now. However, even with Caesars jumping back over the $4 million mark, the distance between them and fifth-place Tropicana is as small as it's been all year.

Here is our breakdown of the October numbers for both operators, according to the figures from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

Borgata's Revenue Rise Continues, Claims New Record In October

It didn't take long for Borgata Online Casino to correct themselves after a minor blip in revenue for September. They fell slightly below $7 million after setting a record high with $7.13 million in revenue in August 2019 according to the numbers from the NJ DGE.

In October though, they shattered that mark with a substantial increase in revenue to $7,757,423. This keeps them in-line with gains from NJ online casino revenue all-stars Golden Nugget and Resorts, who also set new records in October.

Earlier in 2019, Borgata had revenue in the $4-to-5-million range. Now with a strong Summer and Fall, they're showing to be consistently in the $6-to-7-million range, proving to be one of the more solid online casinos in New Jersey.

Borgata's $7.76 million tally in October was a jump of around $800,000 over September's count, and around $630,000 over their previous record, set in August.

Not only did Borgata set a new monthly record in October, they also set a yearly revenue record too. 2018's tally was $54,317,266 after adjustments, and 2019's total is already past that at $60,530,492 after just 10 months.

Caesars Beats 2018 Revenue Total In Just 10 Months

We were concerned last month that Caesars' September revenue number was possibly worrisome, as they posted their lowest monthly revenue in 2019. While the number jumped back up over $4 million in October according to the NJ DGE, it's still one of the lowest figures of the year.

Caesars Online Casino registered a total of $4,260,147 in New Jersey online gambling revenue for the month; a slight increase over the low point of $3,946,651 in September.

With so many online casinos in New Jersey gaining revenue and pushing the revenue total for the state to a new record, Caesars has seemed to stagnate, allowing fifth-place Tropicana to come closer to overtaking them. They pulled in $3,882,835, which is slightly higher than their average for 2019.

While the monthly total is slightly discouraging, it isn't all bad news for Caesars Online Casino. Much like Borgata, they were also able to overtake their 2018 totals with a new year revenue record. Caesars climbed to $46,352,124 (with adjustments), which surpasses their 2018 number in just 10 months.

With Borgata keeping pace with the big boys in front of them, hopefully Caesars Online Casino can pick up the pace and celebrate with the rest of them as 2019 winds down.
