Resorts Digital Has Grasp On Second Place

The revenue numbers are in for May 2019, and online casinos in New Jersey put up yet another strong month as a whole, and that includes Resorts Online Casino and its partner sites under the Resorts Digital name.

Although the revenue race has been controlled by Golden Nugget Online and its team of top-notch operators, Resorts Digital Gaming is making some noise as well when it comes to making money in the online casino market.

With help from its own flexible team of brands, Resorts Digital looks to be maintaining a first grasp on a coveted No. 2 spot behind Golden Nugget and setting a pace to smash its financial accomplishments from a year ago. Five months into the year, Resorts Digital is well over $35 million after another strong showing in May and letting anyone forget about them in the grand scheme of the online casino New Jersey landscape.

Strong Affiliates like DraftKings, PokerStars NJ Working Alongside Resorts Online

Resorts Digital has the benefit, similar to Golden Nugget Online, of working with several big-name operators under its umbrella and contributing to revenue. Below are the brands contributing to NJ online casino revenue for Resorts Digital Gaming:

Resorts Casino is the namesake brand of this digital entity, and an important one at that for plenty of reasons. Resorts Online Casino is overall operation is overseen by Resorts Casino, which has the distinction of being the first casino in Atlantic City. It also offers one of the best loyalty programs in the industry with Echelon in addition to providing NJ online sports betting and a variety of games and leagues to make wagers on.

DraftKings Casino is available inside the DraftKings Sportsbook app, which has long been NJ online sports betting leader along with FanDuel Sportsbook, and it remains that way nearly a full year after legalization. DraftKings enjoys enormous popularity in the Garden State and is perhaps a big reason why Resorts has taken things to new heights in 2019. By having DraftKings as a partner, Resorts Digital keeps a strong ally in the NJ sports betting space.

Resorts striking a deal with Mohegan Sun several years ago is one of the best things the company ever did. The cross-marketing campaign helped establish a wider base of players in a number of states, including New Jersey. The partnership helped build Resorts to a place where future partnerships could be made to help advance the brand even more.

Resorts Casino was able to boost itself again financially in 2016 when a partnership with PokerStars NJ resulted in the launch of a new website. With the added dynamic, Resorts Online Casino has one of the more versatile gaming rolodexes among its peers and is making waves as the second-place moneymaker in May for NJ online poker revenue.

Resorts Digital On Remarkable NJ Online Casino Pace in 2019

After being overshadowed for much of this calendar year, it's time to bring Resorts and its impressive year into the light. To this point, Resorts has totaled $36.65 million in year-to-date internet gaming gross revenue, according to numbers from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. After posting a total of $45.31 million in all of 2018, it’s clear to see the kind of pace Resorts Casino and its partners are on. At this rate, Resorts Digital Gaming will surpass last year’s total during the summer as it sets a new, much higher mark for itself in 2019.

Resorts Digital Gross Revenue ($ in millions)

Resorts was able to eclipse January’s revenue in February before posting a massive March with a yearly-high of $8.47 million, thanks in large part to March Madness and DraftKings. April saw a dip across in NJ online casino revenue, but Resorts stayed above $7 million before rising again to near the $8 million mark in May.

Albeit on a smaller scale than Golden Nugget, Resorts Digital is remaining extremely profitable, and even prospering, during the slowest times of the year for many NJ online casino operators. This company and its group of effective brands are something to keep an eye on as 2019 continues and revenue continues to be piled up.
