Aug 07, 2018

As the days pass and progress continues at an astonishing pace, residents of Pennsylvania countdown to Parx Casino launching their first PA regulated online casino. Less than seven days ago Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, owners of Parx Casino applied for Pennsylvania’s very first interactive gaming license.

As part of a conscious effort to ensure that every aspect of the first PA online casino, Parx Casino have promised that only the best person for the job will be appointed, even if it means that the position remains vacant for a period.

Parx Online Casino Coming in 2019

This Wednesday past, Parx Casino announced the new appointment for the position of Senior Vice President of Interactive Gaming & Sports – Matthew Cullen. Thrown in at the deep, Matthew has been tasked with driving the push to fully legalize and regulate online casinos in Pennsylvania and bring online casino gaming and sports betting to its residents.

“Matthew is joining the Parx Casino team at a very exciting time for our company. His unique professional pedigree of online gaming, corporate development, marketing, product and business strategy, and digital technology, makes him an ideal person to lead our expanding business footprint.”

-John Dixon, CTO of Greenwood Entertainment & Racing, Inc

PA Online Casino - Parx + GAN

A few days back GAN confirmed that they are enlarging their partnership with Parx Casino. GAN was announced as the online gaming platform with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) when Greenwood Gaming filed their petition.

These players are not unknown to each other, having previously partnered back in March 2015 when Parx Casino launched free play on the GAN platform. Rest assured, even once the real money iGames launches, the social gaming site will continue.

Perhaps one of the more attractive benefits that emerge from this partnership between Parx Casino and GAN is that the online account of players can now be linked to the rewards program of the land-based casino

The US-patented tech GAN own is loved by players since they can finally earn rewards both online and onsite which they can exchange for cash (online) or special offers (onsite). This differentiating factor will play a major role in what many believe will be a highly populated Pennsylvania online gambling market.

GAN has over 15 years of experience in creating software for both real and simulated money games. Not too long ago, GAN partnered with Ocean Resort Casino when they launched their latest New Jersey-based casino.

“GAN has demonstrated its Regulated Gaming capability in New Jersey and the merits of integrating with a casino management system. Parx Casino will have the opportunity to launch Regulated Gaming in Pennsylvania later this year, subject to the regulatory approval of the PGCB.”

-John Dixon, CTO of Greenwood Entertainment & Racing, Inc
