Sports fans all over the United States are looking for a return to normal, and we’re separating a temporary return to normalcy by making NFL draft betting predictions!
Although the draft is taking place in an all-virtual format as opposed to the Las Vegas strip as originally planned, it will still take place from April 23-25 as intended.
The draft is a welcome distraction for fans and bettors, which haven’t been able to wager on a mainstream sporting event in America since early March.
Online sportsbooks in New Jersey are readying for the occasion, offering a seemingly endless number of markets for the betting public to choose from. In this article, we are focusing on betting markets involving the Philadelphia Eagles and its first-round pick at No. 21 overall!
Unfortunately, the Keystone State’s sports betting law doesn’t cover the NFL Draft. This is likely to result in a handle and revenue boost to New Jersey sports betting sites due to Pennsylvania residents driving over the border to wager on the event legally.
After a detailed look at several sites and hundreds of betting markets, we’d recommend the following sites for betting on the 2020 NFL Draft:

In addition to the Eagles, we’ve also taken the time to preview the betting markets surrounding other teams and made NFL Draft betting predictions for each:
The Philadelphia Eagles will be selecting at No. 21 and like every other team in the league, is looking to fill one of several holes. The most glaring one is quite obvious and it’s at the wide receiver position, with some combination of linebacker, cornerback, and offensive line being the other areas of need.
After a deep dive into legal online betting sites, there are several team-specific markets available including which side of the ball a team will select, the position of the first selection, and of course, who the exact pick will be.
Assuming Philly sticks in its current position, what can we expect to see on draft night from the Eagles?
There are plenty of football fans in Pennsylvania and New Jersey looking ahead to the 2020 NFL Draft and wondering ‘who will the Eagles draft?’ when it comes time to announce the No. 21 overall pick. Well, nobody can be sure, but we think it’s going to be an offensive player.
Bet On 2020 NFL Draft At BetMGM!
If you are one of the many who believe Philadephia is committed to adding a receiving weapon for quarterback Carson Wentz, then this is an easy wager to make. It isn’t a lock by any means but by the looks of the odds and the draft board, it’s hard to go any other direction.
The issue is that there’s little to no value betting on the Eagles going offense at -200. With that said, there may not be many cornerbacks or linebackers who are realistic picks at No. 21.
Avoid this wager unless you’re alright with laying the juice on the likelihood of an offensive player being picked. Without a trade back to later in the first round, it’s safest to expect offense, and we’ll get more specific about a position with our next pick.

If Philadephia does indeed select an offensive player, it’s really tough to see General Manager Howie Roseman going any other direction but wide receiver at No. 21.
Oddsmakers have had this position favored for a while now and it makes perfect sense with wideout being perhaps the team’s biggest need.
Throw in the fact that the five prospects most likely to land in Philadelphia are wideouts, according to odds from several sportsbooks in New Jersey. As the draft nears, it feels even more likely that help for QB Carson Wentz is on the way.
Even though there’s a bit more value in gambling on havoc to cause Philly to go with another position or trade back, we’re comfortable enough to make our bet on a wide receiver going to Philly.
There is no telling who exactly will be available if the Eagles stay put at No. 21, but we can certainly do our best to speculate.
Make Eagles Draft Betting Picks At FanDuel!
We noted above that the five prospects with the lowest odds to be taken by Philadephia are al wide receivers. Justin Jefferson (LSU) has been the heavy favorite for the Eagles from early on in the draft process, but we actually see some value elsewhere.
The wide receiver class is deep but the top of the class is still elite. The 10 picks or so leading up to No. 21 is going to see several of the top wideouts get, and the best one left on the board is likely headed to Philly.
A few things need to be taken into consideration. Philadelphia unlikely to trade up, there is growing speculation that Jefferson could be gone by No. 21, and the Eagles have shown heavy interest in Denzel Mims.
The Baylor wideout spoke with the team at least four times last week alone and its odds up at +500, there’s definitely some value here. Jefferson may feel like the safe pick but don’t be afraid of taking a swing here. Go Birds!
