Going back to those team needs, most Jets mock draft results have resulted in the team selecting either a wide receiver or an offensive lineman. The oddsmakers have the same line of thinking, with those two being the most likely options in terms of odds.

New York had the 28th ranked offensive line in 2019 according to Pro Football Focus and even with several additions along the line during free agency, Gang Green still needs help at tackle and protecting Darnold is paramount at this point. This is where things get fun. Even though the Jets select in the top half of the first round, most of the betting options offered have pretty high odds, which suggests there are plenty of possibilities that could come to light.

For that reason, we are just going with a guy who is available in about half of mock drafts and has the measurables to slot in at left tackle to protect Darnold’s blindside. Hope that Alabama’s Jedrick Wills is there, and then hope Douglas doesn’t pass on him.
