Bet On The College Football National Championship Game With The BetStars NJ Promo
As mentioned, BetStars NJ delivers a great opportunity to cash in on the Alabama-Clemson Championship game. Alabama and Clemson will face off for the fourth consecutive time in the College Football Playoff to determine the sport’s national champion in Santa Clara, California on Jan. 7, 2019. Two of the previous three matchups were in the title game, with Alabama winning in 2016 and Clemson taking home the trophy in 2017. The Crimson Tide defeated Georgia in overtime last year to regain the title and Nick Saban’s team looks to take home a second straight national championship.
Thankfully for us, BetStars NJ Sportsbook is there with up-to-the-minute lines so we can get the biggest edge possible going into the title game.

BetStars Sportsbook lines as of Jan 4th at 10:30 pm EST*
No. 1 Alabama (-5.5) vs. No. 2 Clemson - Monday, Jan. 7 (8 pm)
Over/Under: 58.5 points
Value Pick: Clemson ML (+170)
BetStars Sportsbook NJ has Clemson as +170 on the money line to beat Alabama in the national championship. If you’re looking for the most bang for your buck, it’s taking Clemson to upset the Crimson Tide for a second time in the title game. While there’s obviously a shot the Tigers don’t pull it off, they are also the only team in college football with a change. Trevor Lawrence torched Notre Dame for over 300 yards and three scores. Although he likely won’t put up such gaudy numbers against Alabama, he and Travis Etienne lead a potentially explosive offense.
Smart Pick: Alabama (-5.5)
BetStars Sportsbook currently has the No. 1 Crimson Tide as 5.5-point favorites over Clemson. Each time I look at this game, I come back to Alabama winning by about a touchdown. These are the only two teams in the nation which ranked in the top five in both scoring offense and scoring defense over the course of the regular season. However, with Clemson missing a star defensive lineman and having a freshman quarterback, I see the Crimson Tide as having an advantage on both sides. This is the best team each has faced all season, but I see the increase in competition to be higher overall for Clemson. I can’t help but feel Alabama wears down the Tigers and walks away with a second consecutive title in its fifth College Football Playoff appearance in the five years of its existence. Let’s call it 34-27 Crimson Tide for the national championship.
Exotic Bet Of The Week: 2-Team Teaser (CFP Edition)
*A teaser allows you to alter the original spread by a certain number of points. When using two teams, the player is gifted six (or seven) points in each game to add onto whichever end of the spread they choose.
EXAMPLE: Let’s say Alabama is 5.5-point favorites this week (-5.5), which makes Clemson 5.5-point underdogs (+5.5). By using this game in a 2-team teaser, we have 6 points to use against the spread, either way we choose (for a slightly higher price, you can also create a 7-point teaser with two teams). In this case, the Tigers can have 6 points added to make them +11.5, or the Crimson Tide’s spread can be lowered by 10 points, leaving them at +.5 to cover. Since there is only one game, we will pair this with a pick on the total as well. *
CFP National Championship 2-Team Teaser
- Alabama +.5 (originally -5.5)
- Alabama/Clemson over 52.5 (originally over 58.5)
The BetStars NJ lines allow us to create an appetizing teaser for the final college football game of the season. My gut feeling is that the Crimson Tide figures out a way to rattle Trevor Lawrence enough to put Clemson too far behind Tua Tagovailoa’s fast-moving offense. The first CFP title game between these teams saw 40 points in the final quarter while the second title game saw 28. While those totals may not be met this time around, I expect enough points to push this game over out adjusted total.
Best of luck!
