Here, we are taking a closer look 2019 NCAA Tournament odds for the upper-echelon SEC teams and providing college basketball predictions for which school may be worth taking a shot on when sports betting on March Madness.

NCAA Tournament Odds For Top SEC Teams

Like many of the power conferences, the SEC is top heavy with Kentucky, Tennessee and LSU dominating play inside the league in 2018-19. All three have been ranked in the top 25 most of the regular season, although Kentucky and Tennessee are clearly a notch above everybody else. NJ online sports betting players may also recognize schools like Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss, all of which have strong 2019 NCAA Tournament resumes.

In Kentucky and Tennessee, the SEC currently has two teams among the top odds-on favorites to in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, and two more that could be worth a look as dark horses. Below are NCAA Tournament odds for the top SEC teams from several NJ Sportsbooks (odds as of 1pm on March 4):

  • Kentucky - Kentucky’s odds seems to drop regularly as bettors continue to take the Wildcats for a deep run. The payout was already lowering by the time it got to +1600 on FanDuel Sportsbook, and in some places is down closer to +1100 or +1000, as we can see. The SEC tournament will surely cause even more movement, but online sports betting players backing need to decide whether that’ll be a good thing or not. • Tennessee - Like Kentucky, Tennessee is clearly a top team in the country and are likely headed for No. 2 seed at worst in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. The Vols’ odds have been dropping ever since knocking off the Wildcats and remaining perfect at home. A good showing at the SEC tournament likely knocks payouts down even more, so Tennessee at FanDuel Sportsbook may be something to jump at. • Auburn - The Tigers are a streaky group, as evidenced by their so-so 9-7 conference record. Still, plenty NJ sportsbooks have given them worse odds than LSU to win it all because a hot Auburn team is dangerous in the NCAA tournament. SugarHouse Sportsbook currently has the Tigers at +8000, which are so far above its competitors that Auburn backers need to go straight there to make their online sports betting pick. • LSU - The Tigers should be one of those teams in the No. 4 or No. 5 seed range that should be watched carefully. They’ve piled up massive wins and remained in the top 15 for most of the season, which means they’ll definitely see action from online sports betting players. Most NJ sportsbooks have LSU in the +5000 range, but BetStars NJ is offering astronomical +8500 odds. Anyone who thinks the Tigers have a shot in March Madness should visit BetStars. NCAAB Picks For SEC Teams In NCAA Tournament

Both Kentucky and Tennessee make cases to be teams that can win the 2019 NCAA Tournament, hence why their odds are already falling as NJ sports betting players make wagers on them to win the championship. If there’s one team from this conference to make an NCAAB pick on for March Madness, it’s the Tennessee Volunteers.

Normally, teams that dominate at home can struggle in March since they don’t get home court advantage, but the Vols’ 17-0 mark at The Summit is just a small part of their dominance. Tennessee has a game that travels and a team looking for revenge after last year’s early exit to Cinderella Loyola-Chicago. Whether it’s +1900 at FanDuel Sportsbook or +1500 at BetStars NJ, the Volunteers are a team built for March Madness and the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

It’s also worth noting that LSU can be extremely dangerous, and has the talent to make a deep run in the 2019 NCAA Tournament as well. They’re a deep team that doesn’t get rattled on the road and finds a way to win no matter the environment or style of play. They did something Tennessee couldn’t in winning at Kentucky, as well. Getting them at +8500 on BetStars is an incredible steal.

If LSU doesn’t ruin the party, it’s likely that Kentucky or Tennessee wins the SEC title and even winds up as a No. 1 seed. It’s interesting to think that players may actually be hoping the team they like to win the NCAA Tournament doesn’t win the conference tournament. The resulting action from the online sports betting public could attract loads of new bettors, driving odds down even further.

Whatever happens during 2019 March Madness, we can be sure that the big names in the SEC will have something to do with it.
