NBA Playoffs Betting Picks Against The Spread (ATS) - Lines From SugarHouse Sportsbook

AROUND THE LEAGUE: The Raptors and Nuggets each defended its  home floor in Game 5s to take 3-2 series leads before heading back on the road.

Pascal Siakam and Kawhi Leonard led an onslaught in Toronto that never even gave the Sixers a chance. With a less-than-100 percent Joel Embiid, Philadelphia was outmatched and will be searching for answers going into Game 6. The six-point spread was easily covered by the Raptors in a 36-point win.

After rebounding from a four-overtime loss with a massive road win in Game 3, Denver went home and took care of business for NJ sports betting players who put their faith in them. Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap are a matchup nightmare for Portland, which now faces elimination after holding a 2-1 series lead.

SugarHouse Sportsbook lines as of May 8 at 10:30am*

No. 4 Houston Rockets @ No. 1 Golden State Warriors (-6) - 10:30pm (Series tied 2-2)

The Warriors and Rockets return to Oracle Arena knotted at two games apiece with the defending champions listed as six-point favorites, according to SugarHouse Sportsbook.

The home team has won the previous four games, with James Harden scoring 38 points in Game 4 and the Rockets finding a way to even things up after falling behind 0-2 in the series. Win or lose, Houston has been great against the spread (ATS), covering in three of four games and hovering around the number in the other. The ATS results haven’t been there for the Warriors, a team with superior talent but has been inefficient and outworked.

Although the Warriors appear to be fighting an ongoing battle against themselves, Kevin Durant is continuing to show why he’s the best there is in today’s NBA while Golden State’s starting lineup does all the scoring. While this team looks like a shell of its former self, the Warriors are primed to win Game 5 and keep the streak alive of home teams winning in this series. Golden State returns to Oakland after shooting 8-for-33 from three-point range in Game 4, and NJ online sports betting players shouldn’t expect that type of performance again.

Winning Game 6 in Houston is going to be an incredible uphill battle either way, but especially on the brink of losing four straight. Golden State knows what’s at stake here and a group of players who have come up big time and again on its own floor. The spread, however, may be too large for NJ sports betting players to stomach. Each game has been decided by six or fewer, so take the Rockets and the six points as our first NBA pick today.

Pick: Houston Rockets +6 (-107)

No. 4 Boston Celtics @ No. 1 Milwaukee Bucks (-8.5) - 8pm (MIL leads series  3-1)

With a chance to advance to the Eastern Conference Final on the line, the Bucks are big favorites at home against Boston, according to the SugarHouse Sportsbook app.

After appearing to turn a corner in Game 1, things have gone severely downhill for Boston. Kyrie Irving has been the leader of an inefficient offense while the fire that fueled this team a season ago appears to be all but gone. Boston got beat into submission by the Milwaukee and dominance of Giannis Antentokounmpo, virtually quitting on its home floor in its last realistic shot to same the season. Of course anything is possible, but the Celtics have given NJ online sports betting players no reason to remain confident in them moving forward.

This is a large number for Milwaukee to cover, but their second half in Game 4 should provide a ton of confidence to NJ sports betting players. They sped past the Celtics on the road as virtually-unguardable Giannis erupted for 39 points and 16 rebounds while various background pieces chipped in and wore  down the opponent. In the playoffs, the Bucks are able to play the same brand of basketball that led them to the top seed in the conference, and they’re likely headed to the East finals because of it.

At 33-8 at home this regular season (3-1 in playoffs), we can’t see the Bucks losing Game 5. What we can see is the Celtics quitting in the second half and packing up for the offseason. Boston should begin the game with some heard, but Giannis & Co. have the ability to break its will once again. Milwaukee covers and advanced as the second of our NBA picks today.

Pick: Milwaukee Bucks -8.5 (-110)

Best of luck!
