The wait is over for NJ online sports betting players as the NCAA Tournament has finally arrived. There are 48 games still to be played over the course of four days that are widely thought to make up one of the best sports weekends of the entire year. Here on BonusSeeker, we couldn’t be any more excited to break down March Madness betting odds and predictions around tournament time.
Those making NCAAB predictions for the first round of the NCAA Tournament should keep in mind that these games are difficult to handicap for both online sports betting players and oddsmakers. Because so many of these matchups are between teams that don’t ordinarily meet, research is key before making any sports betting picks. And while it’s always good to get a sense of recent trends, many fly out the window as all March Madness games from here forward get played on a neutral floor.
Before deciding on any NCAAB picks once March Madness tips off, NJ online sports betting players should decide what’s best for them by looking at all NJ sportsbooks, including 888 Sportsbook. If you’re a potential sports bettor in the market for reliable college basketball odds, 888 sport may be the NJ sportsbook for you. Players are provided with an abundance of sports betting options to choose from, which is why we use basketball odds from the 888 Sportsbook app to make free NCAA predictions throughout 2019 March Madness. NCAAB Sports Betting Picks: Top College Basketball Plays of the Day
No. 12 Murray State vs. No. 5 Marquette Golden Eagles (-3.5) - 4:30pm
Marquette is the No. 5 seed and the betting favorite on the 888 Sportsbook app, but the public has forsaken them for No. 12 Murray State, featuring future NBA lottery pick Ja Morant. This kid looks like the real deal, but online sports betting players are mistaken thinking this one player is going to beat a team that should’ve won the Big East. Marquette embarrassingly cost themselves the Big East title, then didn’t reach the final of the conference tournament and now are being overlooked for a mid-major school from the Ohio Valley Conference. Morant and Murray State should be respected as a formidable opponent, not selected by the majority as the winner. The Golden Eagles have one of the country’s best players in Markus Howard and size in the frontcourt that will bother the Racers.
Pick: Marquette Golden Eagles -3.5 (-115)
No. 10 Florida Gators vs. No. 7 Nevada Wolfpack (-2.5) - 6:50pm
The Florida Gators enter the NCAA Tournament as a No. 10 seed and a 2.5-point underdog to Nevada on 888 Sportsbook. Nevada fell in the Sweet 16 a season ago and looks to make it even further as a No. 7 seed in the West. They were a top-10 team for part of the season before a rough stretch and a loss in the Mountain West Tournament knocked them off the radar. Florida has played well of late, including a win over LSU in the SEC Tournament, but we still like the better team with the small line. Nevada is a highly experienced NCAA Tournament team with an offense we think will give the Gators some trouble. Wolfpack for the NCAA prediction in the West Region.
Pick: Nevada Wolfpack -2.5 (-115)
No. 15 Abilene Christian vs. No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats (-21) - 7:10 pm
Kentucky is North Carolina’s biggest competition in the Midwest Region and we believe those two meet in the Elite Eight, as do sports betting players and oddsmakers. Before that, the Wildcats should cover the 21-point spread on 888 Sportsbooks against Abilene Christian. Kentucky lost in the SEC semifinals to Tennessee, but is one of the top 10 teams in the nation and is well-rested to begin the NCAA Tournament. John Calipari’s Wildcats are ready to set a tone and run away from the No. 15 seed for this first round March Madness prediction.
Pick: Kentucky Wildcats -20.5 (-114)
No. 9 Baylor Bears vs. No 8 Syracuse Orange (-2) - 9:57pm
Syracuse begins the NCAA Tournament as a slight favorite over Baylor on 888 Sportsbook. This should be a matchup of strengths, as both teams play strong defense but lackluster offense at times. Despite the Orange missing suspended star guard Frank Howard, we still have Syracuse for our 2019 March Madness prediction here. The Syracuse zone won’t be easy to solve, especially for a Bears team that has struggled so mightily on offense against far less superior defenses. Baylor has also backed into the tournament on four straight losses while Syracuse played decently while shorthanded at the ACC Tournament.
Pick: Syracuse Orange -2 (-115)
Best of luck!
