NCAAB Sports Betting Picks: Top College Basketball Plays of the Day

No. 10 Iowa Hawkeyes vs. No. 2 Tennessee Volunteers (-8) - 12:10pm

Tennessee enters the second round at eight-point favorites over Iowa, according to BetStars NJ. Iowa impressively withstood Cincinnati’s best punch with a virtual home-court advantage and rallied for an upset win. Although Tennessee wasn’t able to put No. 15 Colgate away until very late in the first round, we see the Volunteers rebounding in a big way. Iowa has covered just two of its last 10 games and now faces a team that won’t allow them shoot their way back into the game and take over late the way Cincinnati did. Volunteers running away late and covering the number is our first March Madness pick for Sunday.

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers -8 (110)

No. 12 Liberty Flames vs. No. 4 Virginia Tech Hokies - 7:10pm

Virginia Tech goes into a matchup with upset-minded Liberty as 8.5-point favorites on BetStars Sportsbook. Despite the Hokies dominating in the first round, Liberty is our March Madness prediction to cover the spread in this one. The Flames were down 10 to Mississippi State late in the game, and not only stayed in it with great three-point shooting, but wound up winning the game. There’s no reason they can’t stick with Virginia Tech and keep this one inside of single digits. Liberty is not as offensively-challenged as the Hokies’ first-round opponent and it should show.

Pick: Liberty Flames +8.5 (-110)

No. 11 Ohio State Buckeyes vs. No. 3 Houston Cougars (-5.5) - 9pm

Online sports betting players who took our advice suffered a loss at the hands of Ohio State, which is a 5.5-point underdog vs. Houston in the second round. We are fading the Buckeyes again, partly due to how strong the Cougars looked in round one. Houston appears to have shaken off the loss in their conference title game and looks poised for a run that reaches at least the Sweet 16. It was a great win for Ohio State over Iowa State in the opening round, but we feel Houston’s size and versatility pose an even greater danger, so the Cougars are one of Sunday’s March Madness predictions.

Pick: Houston Cougars -5.5 (-110)

No. 6 Buffalo Bulls vs. No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders (-3.5) - 6:10pm

On BetStars Sportsbook, Texas Tech is favored by 3.5 points over Buffalo in the second round. Despite Tech waiting a while to get it going in round one, we are taking them to cover the spread in their second game. Buffalo was incredibly potent vs. Arizona State, but Texas Tech’s defense is a whole different animal. The contrast of styles will be fun, and we think defense wins out. Red Raiders -3.5 to close out our Sunday NCAA picks.

Pick: Texas Tech Red Raiders -3.5 (-110)

Good Luck!
