Believe it or not, there are just seven NFL games left in the season. We are down to the final eight teams and will be down to just four by the time this weekend closes. As the games get more and more important, they also tend to become more difficult to predict. Thankfully, we’ve got NJ sports betting players covered as far as analysis goes leading up to all the Divisional Round action. Using NFL lines from BetStars NJ, we provide ATS picks on each game along with a teaser you can hope to take to the bank.

Four Jars of Sauce: Picks Against The Spread (ATS) For Divisional Round
Indianapolis Colts @ Kansas City Chiefs (-5.5) - Saturday, 4:35 pm
The BetStars app has AFC West champion Kansas City as a 5.5-point favorite over the visiting Colts at Arrowhead Stadium.
It’s amazing to think that the Chiefs are 1-10 in playoff games dating back to 1994, including 1-4 under Andy Reid. The last two times these teams faced off in the postseason, the Colts erased an enormous deficit in a thrilling 45-44 victory. While we may not near the 100-point mark, this year’s matchup should be a shootout as well. Even though Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense dominated this season, Andrew Luck has the Colts’ offense firing on all cylinders as well. Indianapolis has won 10 of 11 and is the hottest team in the league, that counts for something even heading into a tough road environment. I see the Chiefs pulling off a victory but the Colts keeping it within the number on Saturday afternoon.
Pick: Indianapolis Colts (+5.5)
Dallas Cowboys @ Los Angeles Rams (-7) - Saturday 8:15 pm
BetStars Sportsbook has NFC West champion Los Angeles Rams as touchdown favorites over the visiting Cowboys, who topped the Seahawks at home last week. These teams met eight several times in the playoffs in the 70s and 80s, renewing an old rivalry at Los Angeles Coliseum in 2019.
While the Rams are coming off a bye and getting star running back Todd Gurley back, this doesn’t feel like the greatest spot for them. Los Angeles has blown out lesser teams, but have had to scratch and claw against better squads. The Cowboys aren’t quite as complete as the Rams, but are still formidable on both sides of the ball. Dallas’ offense has the ability to dominate and slow down the game if operating at its potential. Dallas also has a huge following in southern California where they hold training camp and should have half the stadium filled with Cowboy blue. Not sure if Dallas pulls off the upset, but they keep it within a score.
Pick: Dallas Cowboys (+7)
Los Angeles Chargers @ New England Patriots (-4) - Sunday, 1 pm
According to the BetStars NJ app, the AFC East champion New England Patriots go into Sunday’s game as 4-point favorites over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Frigid temperatures await as two Hall of Fame quarterbacks clash in Tom Brady and Philip Rivers. Just like last week, this feels like a spot for the road underdog Chargers to find some success. Los Angeles was a dominant 8-1 on the road this season and went 8-1 against the spread in those games as well. We know what Brady and the Patriots have done in playoffs past, but the AFC feels more wide open now than in recent memory. The Chargers are good enough to pull this off, and I think they leave Foxboro with a cover and a win. For our purposes here, take the four points.
Pick: Los Angeles Chargers (+4)
Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints (-8) - Sunday 4:40pm
BetStars Sportsbook lists the Philadelphia Eagles as 8-point underdogs against the New Orleans Saints at Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sunday afternoon.
The biggest difference between the Saints’ 48-7 drubbing of the Eagles in November? Nick Foles. He’s back racking up wins for a second consecutive postseason after Philadelphia survived Chicago’s last-second field goal attempt this week. Not to disrespect Foles’ magic over the past two seasons, but the Eagles could finally hit that wall inside the Superdome, where New Orleans is just a different team. It’s hard to know exactly how teams will come out of the bye, but I am extremely confident the Saints will be gassed up and ready to roll. New Orleans opens up a two-score victory at home and advances to the NFC Championship.
Pick: New Orleans Saints (-8)
Exotic Bet Of The Week: 3-Team Teaser (Divisional Round Edition)
*A teaser allows you to alter the original spread by a certain number of points. When using three teams, the player is gifted 10 points in each game to add onto whichever end of the spread they choose.
EXAMPLE: Let’s say Team A is an 11.5-point favorite this week (-11.5), which makes Team B 11.5-point underdogs (+11.5). By using this game in a 3-team teaser, we have 10 points to use against the spread either way we choose. Either Team B can have 10 points added to make them +21.5, or Team A’s spread can be lowered by 10 points, leaving them at -1.5 to cover.*
Divisional Round 3-Team Teaser
- Cowboys +17 (originally +7)
- Chargers +14 (originally +4)
- Saints+2 (originally -8)
Using the BetStars NJ Sportsbook lines, we’ve crafted what we hope is a winning teaser for the Divisional Round. With the Cowboys well-represented in SoCal, they cover a huge number in a game some feel they can win outright. Same for the Chargers, who I think easily keep the game close in bitterly cold conditions in New England. As far as the Saints go, I can’t envision an NFC championship that takes place without them, so we take off the points and make things a bit easier.
Best of luck!
