The past couple of weeks have been further proof that the NFL is a tough league to predict. It gets even tougher as we near the end of the schedule. Still, we look to finish the season strong and the good news is, there’s plenty of room for improvement. And with that, onto Week 16 with the help of BetStars Sportsbook.

Three Jars of Sauce: Picks Against The Spread (ATS) For Week 16
Green Bay (-3) @ New York - Sunday, 1pm
Green Bay is 0-7 on the road this season, and risk becoming the first Packers team since 1958 to have a winless season away from home. I am trusting Aaron Rodgers won’t let that happen against a Jets team that is just 2-5 at home this season. Rookie QB Sam Darnold may be a star in the making and will keep this pretty close, but Rodgers wills Green Bay to a road win at MetLife Stadium.
Pick: Green Bay Packers (-3)
Atlanta (-3) @ Carolina - Sunday, 1pm
This is a total fade of the Panthers, losers of six straight games after starting 6-2. They are now without Cam Newton and will have rookie Taylor Heinicke making his first NFL start. The Falcons are another disappointing NFC South team, and star receiver Julio Jones is a game-time decision. Still, Matt Ryan has enough weapons to pick apart a fledgling Panthers team.
Pick: Atlanta Falcons (-3)
Minnesota (-6) @ Detroit - Sunday, 1pm
The Vikings are holding onto the second NFC Wild Card spot by a thread with a 7-6-1 record, and badly need a victory here. Injury woes have left Lions QB Matt Stafford even more bereft of weapons with two key players landing on injured reserve. Detroit is at home here and have stayed competitive in most games this season, but Minnesota might have kicked it into gear last week with that 41-17 win over Miami. Give me the Vikings by a touchdown, and the chance to clinch a playoff berth if things roll the right way around the rest of the league
Pick: Minnesota Vikings (-6)
Road Underdog That Barks in Week 15
Buffalo @ New England (-13.5) - Sunday, 1pm
The Patriots are the NFL’s only undefeated team at home, and I expect it to stay this way, as New England can and likely will capture yet another AFC East title with a win. However, the Bills can do enough to keep this inside of two touchdowns in defeat. Rookie QB Josh Allen has impressed for Buffalo with his arm and his legs since returning from injury in Week 12, and I’m taking him to pass his first test against the Patriots.
Pick: Buffalo Bills (+13.5)
Exotic Bet Of The Week: 3-Team Teaser
*A teaser allows you to alter the original spread by a certain number of points. When using three teams, the player is gifted 10 points in each game to add onto whichever end of the spread they choose.
EXAMPLE: The Titans are 10.5-point favorites (-10.5), which makes Washington 10.5-point underdogs (+10.5). By using this game in a 3-team teaser, we have 10 points to use against the spread either way we choose. Either Washington can have 10 points added to make them +20.5, or the Titans’ spread can be lowered by 10 points, leaving them at just -.5 to cover. The same can be done with the total of the game.*
Week 16 3-Team Teaser
- Titans -.5 (originally -10.5)
- Texans +11.5 (originally +1.5)
- Seahawks +12.5 (originally +2.5)
The Titans are one of three teams tied for the second AFC Wild Card spot and won’t let this opportunity go to waste. Even if they don’t cover the 10.5 points vs. the Redskins, who are on their fourth QB of the season, Tennessee should still get the victory. The Texans are getting points against a resurgent Nick Foles-led Eagles team. In case Philly has some magic, I gave the 10-4 Texans 10 extra points, moving them to a very comfortable +11.5. The Seahawks may not beat the juggernaut that is the Kansas City Chiefs, but playing at home and having a very good chance to clinch a playoff spot by Sunday evening should motivate them. Tack on the extra 10 points and this feels safe at +12.5.
Best of luck!
