The final week of the NFL’s regular season is here and you can be sure it’s one of the most difficult times of the season to make selections. With most teams out of the playoff race, some locked into the postseason and just a few teams with an uncertain fate, NJ sports betting players could have a tough time deciding which way to go in Week 17.
To ring in the holiday season, BetStars NJ is offering all new players a $50 Free Bet. So if you missed out on Thursday’s win, you can still click here to sign up for a $50 Free Bet. Just be sure to sign up between Thursday and Monday of each week this December to claim your BetStars $50 Free Bet. So in celebration of this promotion, I will be using the BetStars Sportsbook’s NFL lines to make my picks for Week 17 of the NFL.
Finally, Week 16 yielded some major victories for us here, with all of our ATS picks and our 3-team teaser. Hopefully we take BetStars Sportsbook’s lines and keep it rolling into the final week of the season.

Three Jars of Sauce: Picks Against The Spread (ATS) For Week 17
Detroit @ Green Bay (-8) - Sunday, 1pm
The Packers could have quit last week down 15 late to the Jets, but roared back to make sure they didn’t go 0-8 on the road this season. I see them beating a lowly Lions team at Lambeau Field to close out the season, but I don’t see the same kind of urgency. The Lions have managed to keep more games close than expected in the second half, and I think they lose by less than 10.
Pick: Detroit Lions (+8)
Philadelphia (-7) @ Washington - Sunday, 4:25pm
The Eagles need another Nick Foles-led victory and some help from the Bears to reach the playoffs. Between all the injuries and playing with its fourth QB of the season, Washington likely won’t be able to keep up with a desperate Philly team. Can’t be sure whether they get the help they need, but the Eagles take care of business in Washington by more than a touchdown to do their part.
Pick: Philadelphia Eagles (-7)
Chicago @ Minnesota (-5) - Sunday, 4:25pm
I am picking this game purely based on how I think each team will decide to handle this final game. The Bears have a very slim chance of moving up to a different spot, needing an unlikely Rams loss. I think Minnesota does enough to stay in this game and surges ahead for good when the Bears start resting some guys in the second half. Cue up an NFC North rematch in the playoffs between these two teams.
Pick: Minnesota Vikings (-5)
Exotic Bet Of The Week: 3-Team Teaser
*A teaser allows you to alter the original spread by a certain number of points. When using three teams, the player is gifted 10 points in each game to add onto whichever end of the spread they choose.
EXAMPLE: If the Rams are 11.5-point favorites this week (-11.5), which makes the Eagles 11.5-point underdogs (+11.5). By using this game in a 3-team teaser, we have 10 points to use against the spread either way we choose. Either the Eagles can have 10 points added to make them +21.5, or the Rams’ spread can be lowered by 10 points, leaving them at -1.5 to cover.*
Week 17 3-Team Teaser
- Ravens +4.5 (originally -5.5)
- Rams EVEN (originally -10)
- Jets +23.5 (originally +13.5)
The Ravens are a win or a Steelers loss away from clinching the AFC North. I feel they get the win, but here we give them 4.5 points just as some cushion. The Rams clinch a first-round bye with a win or a Bears loss. Since they play at the same time, Los Angeles is going to go all-out for a win against San Francisco. The Jets won’t become the only team to beat the Patriots in New England, but they will keep the deficit under 24 points, and that’s a win when tacking 10 onto the end of that huge number.
Best of luck!
