NFL Week 5 Parlay Picks | How Do NFL Parlays Work?
As mentioned above, parlays are combination wagers with multiple sides combined to earn an enhanced payout. All sides must hit in order for the wager to cash, which is part of the reason why parlays are difficult to win.
The good news is that in the event of a push, that selection would cancel out and you would not lose the wager. These are a Sunday favorite among football fans because of the upside. A small investment turns into a large profit if things go well.
For the most part, parlays are made up of standard moneylines, spreads, and totals. Prop markets can be included at many NJ, PA, and IN sportsbooks but here, we will stick to the conventional types of bets that normally fit into parlays.

NFL Week 5 Parlay Picks: The Favorites (+128 at DraftKings)
Plenty of bettors employ the NFL parlay strategy of taking multiple favorites on the moneyline and linking them together. This results in very modest odds but this is considered a much safer parlay than others.
A big deal is made of underdogs but there's no doubt that a few favorites are going to come out on top, you just need to figure out which ones. We've had some success in this category and we are looking for more of the same from our Week 5 NFL parlays.
As always, this is really just three logical selections for teams that should win their respective games.
The road-weary Rams are traveling east yet again but against Washington, Los Angeles should find a way to win. They may not cover the 8.5-point spread, but Sean McVay's team has too many weapons on both sides of the ball for the WFT to keep up for 60 minutes.
The Steelers got an unexpected bye week as a result of their game with Tennessee being postponed, and that could be an advantage. Even though the Eagles are coming off a big win, Pittsburgh will be well-rested and has the advantage of familiar surroundings, even if fans aren't in attendance. As touchdown favorites, the undefeated Steelers should win the game.
Betting the Texans is risky on the surface because they just fired their head coach and some questions are surrounding this team. That said, they are desperately in need of a win and have so much more talent than their 0-4 record, which mostly comes from its tough schedule. The bottom line is that you can throw the records out because Jags aren't on the same level and the Texans will welcome the change of direction with a strong performance at home.

- Panthers-Falcons Over 51 Points (-110): What we know from these two teams is that both offenses can move the ball and neither defense can really stop offenses from moving the ball. Carolina has either scored or allowed 30+ in three of four games, and Atlanta has allowed 30+ in all four games. Inside the dome, 51 points shouldn't be all that tough.
- Dallas Cowboys -9.5 (-110): The Cowboys talent level is far above its performance level, but those two things are going to meet in the middle somewhere. The Giants are figure out and have covered as a road underdog twice already, but Dallas has so much more firepower. The Giants will score, not quite enough and the Cowboys finally win convincingly.
- Indianapolis Colts ML (-143): Cleveland's offense was cranking on all cylinders in Dallas, scoring 49 points, and the public will love them for it. But now, the Browns are facing a much stronger team and are without star RB Nick Chubb. The Colts' defense has played well three weeks in a row, and the offense will move the ball with relative ease.
With so many games and choices, these may not be your three favorite selections. If nothing else, use this wager as an example of the kind of payout you can earn with just three sides.
Not every bettor wants to try and earn 20x their investment every time and many don't want to go with all favorites for a lower payout. Luckily, there are many ways to find a balance and create a winnable bet and still earn a decent payout somewhere in the +350 to +550 range.
In this case, our odds are +520, which means we get more than five times our wager if the parlay comes through. *All lines are as of Tuesday, October 6.*
FanDuel Same Game Parlay Picks | Week 5 Parlays
Some sites have come up with innovative and unique ways to offer parlays, and it should come as no surprise that Fanduel Sportsbook is at the forefront of the innovation. FanDuel now offers Same Game Parlays, which are wagers with multiple markets from the same game combined into one wager.
FanDuel Same Game Parlays can be a ton of fun because they allow you to focus your attention on one game rather than multiple, which is often the case when playing parlays on NFL Sunday. Every week, we will pick a game and build one of these wagers and take our shot at a huge payout.
This week, we are taking aim at the Texans' first game without coach and general manager Bill O'Brien, as Houston hosts the Jaguars. The odds are nearly eight times our original investment and each leg feels pretty doable.
