NFL Week 6 Parlay Picks | How Do NFL Parlays Work?
Parlays are combination wagers with at least two sides combined together in the same wager. These bets earn larger payouts than single (or straight) bets, which is both the positive and negative of parlays. It's a low-risk, high-reward wager, but a difficult one to win.
Football fans love betting parlays for several reasons, one of them being that large payouts can be had. The other is that rooting interest in your bet can last all day. Sundays, after all, are about being entertained.
Best NFL Parlays Week 6
For the most part, parlays are made up of standard moneylines, spreads, and totals. Prop markets can be included at many NJ and PA sportsbooks but here, we will stick to the conventional types of bets that are most commonly used.
NFL Week 6 Parlay Picks: The Favorites (+105 at DraftKings)
One NFL parlay strategy that remains popular is putting together multiple favorites, which is a seemingly safe wager with modest odds. We've had some success with this over the past month and we are looking to keep that going with our Week 6 NFL parlays.
The idea is simple: pick three teams you feel will win the game regardless of the point spread. In exchange, take a payout that is just above even at +105.
Miami is coming off a thrashing of the 49ers and playing a hapless 0-5 Jets team with Joe Flacco at quarterback for a second week in a row. The Dolphins won't be mistaken for the Chiefs any time soon, but they have played pretty impressive football since Week 2. For New York, it's one game closer to Adam Gase's firing.
Carson Wentz looked decent against the Steelers and the Eagles have a real opening to take the NFC East but are overmatched in this spot. Whether or not the Ravens cover the touchdown doesn't matter, we like the Baltimore to keep pace with Pittsburgh and ride the run game to a win.
Joe Burrow and the Bengals came crashing down to earth against the Ravens. Things should be better against Indy, but that doesn't mean they are pulling off an upset as eight-point underdogs. The Colts play better at Lucas Oil Stadium even if there are no fans they have the top-ranked DVOA defense in football, and should score a few points on Cincy's so-so defense.
Week 6 Parlay Betting: NFL Longshot Parlay (+2461 at BetMGM)
If you think safety is for chumps and want that massive payout, you aren't alone. There are few things more exciting than nailing a high-paying parlay, so nobody will blame you for going after the big odds.
We are getting some help from the new BetMGM Easy Parlay feature, which makes placing these wagers incredibly simple, and giving you a longshot version of our Week 6 parlay picks.
There are five sides in our bet: two totals, a spread, and two moneylines. We managed pretty large odds of +2461, which could earn you almost $1300 from a $50 bet. For just $10, you can earn over $256 in profit!
Your personal longshot parlay could vary a bit, but this is a great example of how the potential payout can stack up with each added team. Bigger underdogs will surely improve the payout, but could also make the wager more difficult to win.

- Minnesota Vikings ML (-188): It's hard not to be impressed with Minnesota in recent weeks, even if they did blow late leads to both Tennessee and Seattle. The results haven't been there but the overall p[erformance has been solid for three straight weeks now, and the hapless Falcons at home are the perfect recipe to get right.
- Browns-Steelers Over 50.5 (-110): We've seen both of these teams do two things: put up points on opposing defenses, and allow points to decent offenses. Pittsburgh's strong defense means Big Ben and the offense may need to do the heavy lifting. Luckily, it just scored 38 points at home last week and can do it again.
- Chicago Bears +3 (-118): The Panthers are performing so well under Matt Rhule that they are favored over a 4-1 Bears team after winning three in a row. But for us, the underlying DVOA numbers say this is a good matchup for a Chicago team coming off extra rest after a TNF game in Week 5.
Maybe you don't want to go for 20x your investment every time and you may also not want to go for a low payout with a bunch of favorites. With so many games and choices, these may not be the same games or sides you'd pick. If nothing else, use this wager as an example of what you can get with sides at similar odds.
In this case, our odds are +442, which means we get more than four times our wager if the parlay comes through. *All lines are as of Tuesday, October 13.*
