NJ Sports - Can You Guess Which 7 Celebrities Are JETS Fans?

NJ sports fans, you're in great company! What would you say Adam Sandler, Jay-Z, and George R.R. Martin could possibly have in common?

Shared political affiliations? An agent? Their favourite color? (Article Editorial Photo Credit: Shutterstock.com)

NJ Sports Are Too Good For Celebs To Pass Up!

Well in a sense it is their favorite color. If that color is the green of the New York Jets. Team loyalty crosses all barriers, cultures, classes and ideological outlooks, and none more so when it comes to the New York Jets.

“Gang Green” is unusually well supported by celebrities, especially when playing home games. These guys are die-hard fans having stuck by their team through the ups and some very tough down periods.

Jay-Z: While Jay-Z is a known Jets fan, his music is surprisingly more popular with Giants fans according to Facebook research released in 2013.

Ray Romano: A typical example of unwavering loyalty to the team is Ray Romano, star of “Everybody Loves Raymond” who attends every first seasonal game, and has been a lifelong fan and supporter of the team like a great many common folk from Queens NY where he was born.

Romano is known for his extensive collection of Jets merchandise collected over years, and his fondness for posting games and Jets functions to his own social media accounts, where he will always arrive in green and white. What a great guy for flying the flag so high for his home team!

Adam Sandler: Considering that the Jets last won a Super Bowl Championship back in 1969, the passion which Adam Sandler has for his team is demonstrated in his work far beyond what most would expect. He has written them into the stories of no less than two of his movies – “Mr Deeds” and “Little Nicky”. In “Little Nicky” he even cast Satan himself as a fan of the team!

Larry David: “Curb your” Enthusiasm star, Larry David is another fan who just can’t.

Ever the outspoken entertainer, he has been known to arrive at training events and joke that he would make a worthy addition to both defense and offense with little effort; and for bossing players like Ryan Fitzpatrick into submission, getting him to agree to shave off his beard, as David was of the opinion that it was “distracting”.

Hayden Panettiere:, the “Nashville” star not only used to date former Jets player, Scotty McKnight, but says she is a “huge” fan!

And who knows the world-famous author who is a Jets and New York Giants fan? Yes, That’s rare.

George R.R. Martin: the famous “Game of Thrones” writer. Unlike Sandler, George may have a more difficult time working the New York Jets into his storyline, but his love of their game is likewise undeniable as he commits himself to seeing them play live a few times each season.

We keep hoping for a second win at The Superbowl Championships in our lifetime, and who knows, maybe with more of this sort of dedication and enthusiasm, the team can be boosted into the finals again sometime soon.
