These past few months have been pretty busy for Resorts Casino in New Jersey. The launch of a dynamic NJ sports betting market this summer changed the name of the game even for a major player like Atlantic City’s oldest casino. Resorts Online Casino has already seen much success and their partnerships with DraftKings Sportsbook and BetStars NJ has been very fruitful to say the least.
Resorts AC first joined the frenzy with these partnerships, which then led to the launch a retail sportsbook at the casino, which Resorts AC didn’t wait long before doing. A 5,000-square-foot property became New Jersey’s first physical DraftKings Sportsbook, after DraftKings’ years-long standing as an online platform.
Now it seems Resorts is ready for the next step, and more quickly than anyone could have imagined. Company CEO Mark Giannantonio revealed an upcoming Resorts Online Sportsbook NJ, in fact, as soon as January 2019, revealing the result of months of dedicated hard work to get the Resorts Sportsbook up and running.
Resorts Online Sportsbook NJ Has Been In The Works From The Start
Resorts Casino showed it was serious about sports betting from the start, when it partnered with SBTech as early as July.
SBTech have become one of the biggest names in NJ sports betting tech, partnering with Golden Nugget Online Casino and Churchill Downs Online Casino. It’s no surprise either that SBTech view Resorts as a strong partner as well.
The first version of a Resorts Sportsbook NJ we saw was the temporary one the casino launched back in August. Even then, there was hearsay of a possible NJ sportsbook online with Resorts’ name on it and a Resorts Casino website was supposed to launch in September.
Once Resorts pulls off its own Resorts Online Sportsbook, it will enter history as the first AC casino to have three online skins and a retail sportsbook on its property.
Resorts AC Reaches NJ Sportsbook Rules Limit
According to NJ regulation, a gaming operator can have three different branded online sportsbooks at a time. For Resorts, a branded mobile NJ sportsbooks would become the third and therefore final one.
The company is moving swiftly, with DraftKings Sportsbook and BetStars NJ going live before the summer officially ended. Only two months after September, when Resorts AC’s partnership with BetStars NJ launched, DraftKings Sportsbook at Resorts came to be.
It’s quite possible that the revenue numbers Resorts saw from DraftKings and BetStars NJ sparked the company's determination to launch a Resorts Sportsbook app in NJ. Since DraftKings Sportsbook is the top revenue generator on the online market, this already puts Resorts Digital at the very top. It’s exciting to see what a Resorts Online Sportsbook NJ could do too.
