NBA Betting Picks: Top Plays of the Day
Milwaukee Bucks (-6) @ Memphis Grizzlies - 8pm
SugarHouse Spotsbook has the Bucks, who sit in second place in the east, listed as six-point favorites over Memphis. These two clubs are headed in completely opposite directions, with Milwaukee winning eight of 10 and Memphis losing eight of 10. The Grizzlies can’t be completely overlooked at home, but the Bucks should be able to overpower them in every facet of the game. Milwaukee hs covered the spread in nine of its last 11, time to take advantage of a spread that’s far too low based on the quality of the two teams. Even on a back-to-back, the Bucks get it done.
Pick: Milwaukee Bucks -6
Brooklyn Nets @ Houston Rockets (-5.5) - 8pm
The Rockets have taken over the mantle from the Nets as the hottest team in basketball, and they are 5.5-point favorites over the Nets on SugarHouse Sportsbook. Brooklyn has done more than its part winning games over the past month, but Houston has been on another level mostly thanks to James Harden’s mastery. The Rockets have won 14 of 18 and 12 of their last 13 at home, spelling trouble for the traveling Nets. Brooklyn doesn’t do as well on the road or against the upper echelon teams, giving the Harden and Houston the edge to come up with another home win.
Pick: Houston Rockets -5.5
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Portland Trail Blazers (-14) - 10pm
Laying a ton of points in the NBA is always tough to do. On a given night, a lesser team can keep a game far closer than one would expect, and taking a large favorite sometimes leaves you with no chance. Hopefully that isn’t the case tonight, where Portland is favored by 14 points on SugarHouse Sportsbook. Cleveland collected its first win of 2019 by shocking the Lakers on the road its last time out, but it’s hard to imagine a repeat performance. The Blazers previously suffered two tough road losses, but return home where they are 18-7 on the season and have covered the spread the last four times out following a straight-up loss. A cupcake like the Cavaliers waiting is just what Portland needs to get back on track and keep pace in the west.
Pick: Portland Trail Blazers -14
NBA Betting Pick: Underdog Play of the Day
Orlando Magic @ Detroit Pistons (-3.5) - 7pm
Neither one of these teams are units to wager on with much confidence, but Orlando gives us some value getting 3.5 points on the road in Detroit, according to SugarHouse Sportsbook. The Pistons are sinking like a stone while Orlando, though below average, has remained pretty level in its mediocrity all season long. With Detroit having won just two of its last 10 and Orlando riding a strong over overs against the Pistons, we are going with the road team here. Take the free points with the team playing better right now.
Pick: Orlando Magic +3.5
Best of luck!
