Betting On The NBA For Tuesday Jan. 29
AROUND THE LEAGUE: The Golden State Warriors have now won 11 straight games and aren’t looking back. They completed an undefeated five-game road trip and are starting to put some distance between them and rest of the conference. The closest team in the West is Denver, who sits 1.5 games back of the Warriors. The Nuggets overcame a massive 25-point deficit to defeat the Grizzlies on the road and keep pace in the conference on Monday night. On the low end of the league, the Knicks lost a 10th consecutive game and now sit behind only Cleveland for the NBA’s lowest win percentage (.204).

NBA Betting Picks: Top Plays of the Day
Milwaukee Bucks (-7.5) @ Detroit Pistons - 7 pm
According to SugarHouse Sportsbook’s NBA lines, The Pistons are 7.5-point underdogs at home on Tuesday. The Bucks are one of the league’s top teams and they’re even better after a loss. Following defeat, the Bucks are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 and have covered seven of the last 10 against a team with a losing record. The Pistons have covered five of the last eight games and put up a much stronger effort at home generally, but we are taking a shot with the road team needing a win to keep pace at the top of the Eastern Conference.
Pick: Milwaukee Bucks -7.5
Chicago Bulls @ Brooklyn Nets (-7) - 7:30 pm
The Nets come into a home matchup with the Bulls as seven-point favorites, according to SugarHouse Sportsbook. The Nets are dealing with some injuries and are on the second of a back-to-back after losing (but covering) in Boston on Monday evening. Brooklyn is playing solid basketball, especially at home, and has covered six of the last seven at Barclays Center. Despite the injuries, I expect the Nets to make it four straight losses for the lowly Bulls. Brooklyn bounces back in a big way at home.
Pick: Brooklyn Nets -7
New Orleans Pelicans @ Houston Rockets (-9.5) - 8 pm
Houston enters Tuesday evening as nearly double-digit favorites, according to NBA lines on the SugarHouse Sportsbook app. The Pelicans are a bad team in turmoil following the news of Anthony Davis’ trade request, and things aren’t going to get any better. Davis hasn’t played since January 18th and likely won’t suit up in Houston, which spells trouble for the Pelicans. The Rockets have only covered in one of its last six, but have covered 10 of the last 13 against West teams. New Orleans is a terrible defensive squad with no answer for James Harden. Houston by double digits.
Pick: Houston Rockets -9.5
NBA Betting Pick: Over/Under Play of the Day
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Orlando Magic (Over/Under 221.5) - 7 pm
According to SugarHouse Sportsbook’s NBA lines, Oklahoma City and Orlando are playing to an over/under total of 221.5, and we are taking cues from the trends and smashing the over on this one. Thunder games have gone over in eight of 10 and Magic games have gone over in six of the last eight contests overall. The over has also cashed in four of the last five meetings in Orlando, and we should expect to see an up-and-down pace to this game. The number isn’t high enough to price us out of taking the over.
Pick: Thunder/Magic Over 221.5
Best of luck!
