As the end of November nears, we are quickly approaching the home stretch of the National Football League season and online sportsbooks in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and plenty of other states are busy taking in tons of action every single week.
Even though there are still a few games to be played on every team’s schedule, it’s still not too early to look toward the end of the season and make Super Bowl 55 predictions on NFL futures odds. We’ve done this several times over the course of the regular season and each time we do, the odds are different than where they were in the previous month.
For that reason alone, it’s a useful exercise to take a look at where the lines currently stand and which teams still have value when it comes to making Super Bowl LV betting picks for which team will lift the Lombardi Trophy in Tampa Bay at season’s end. Using BetMGM NFL lines, let’s take a look at some teams to target if looking ahead toward the big game in February.
Some teams have clearly separated themselves from the pack and look like the best choice for Super Bowl betting picks at this stage. Below are the usual suspects that gamblers have been eying for awhile now, as they are a couple of the favorites near the top of the board.
Ten games into the season, bookmakers still have the Kansas City Chiefs listed as the favorite to win the Super Bowl, and for good reason. They currently boast a 9-1 record and for a team known for its offense, they really do it on both sides of the ball.
Not only has Kansas City scored the most points in the entire league, it ranks seventh in scoring defense. Kansas City’s lone loss came back in Week 5 at the hands of the Raiders in a 40-32 shootout but after the Chiefs’ thrilling win over Las Vegas in Week 11, the Chiefs hold a pretty commanding three-game lead in the division.
It’s unclear whether or not the Chiefs will get the only bye in the AFC playoffs this season, but they will still be playing at Arrowhead Stadium through most of the postseason, even if Pittsburgh winds up with a better record.
The line before the season started was about +600 (depending on the site) but even at +300, the Chiefs are a strong bet to win the Super Bowl, as odds are only likely to drop with each passing win, especially if Pittsburgh slips up somewhere.
The Steelers, now 10-0, are the last remaining undefeated team in football and only trail the Kansas City Chiefs when it comes to odds to win the Super Bowl out of the AFC.
Pittsburgh is one of the few teams in football with a scoring offense and defense that both rank in the top five, making them an incredibly dangerous group on both sides of the ball. Those who have been betting on the Steelers have been raking it in as Pittsburgh has gone an impressive 8-2 against the spread.
Mike Tomlin and company don’t always make it look easy. Victories over Dallas, Tennessee, Houston, and a couple of others could have very well gone the other way. But they didn’t, and they have built themselves a comfy three-game division lead in the AFC North.
Anyone who took the Steelers at +2500 in the preseason should be feeling pretty good about their wagers but even now, there’s reason to be excited.
Consider that there is only one bye up for grabs and as of now, it belongs to the Steelers. If all roads in the AFC travel through the Steel City, +550 has to be seen as excellent value.

Beyond the teams at the top of the odds board, there are several other notable clubs that could be headed to the postseason and might be ripe for a wager to win the Super Bowl at pretty high-paying odds.
The Seattle Seahawks got off to a flying start with five straight wins. They proceeded to lose three of their next four games before getting back on track in Week 11. Even during that streak, however, Seattle was showing some glaring cracks in their armor.
The issues begin and end with the defense, which has been nothing short of terrible. Only a few teams, all mediocre or bad ones, have allowed more points against. That’s not a great sign if you have Super Bowl aspirations.
All that said, this team gets a pretty easy stretch over the next month where the wins should start to really pile up and this is still the second-best scoring offense in football through 11 weeks with Russell Wilson at the helm.
Seattle is definitely going to the postseason and this team’s odds are only going to lower as they beat up on the NFC East plus the Jets over the next few weeks, so consider hopping on now if this is a group you still believe in.
The Ravens’ playoff hopes are still alive, even though they have taken a huge hit in recent weeks as this team has underwhelmed. After opening at around +650, the Ravens definitely seem to have taken a step back, as evidenced by bookmakers setting their Super Bowl odds at +1800 after the most recent loss.
While their 6-4 record has them currently tied for a playoff spot, the offense has been the epitome of mediocrity. The offensive line isn’t nearly as good as it was a season ago when Baltimore was the top seed in the AFC, and QB Lamar Jackson hasn’t been his MVP-caliber self in far too many games. The problems don’t stem from the defense, as Baltimore has allowed the third-fewest points in the league so far.
It was expected that Pittsburgh could compete for the crown in the AFC North, but being behind the Cleveland Browns has to be a massive disappointment for John Harbaugh’s team. If you believe that Jackson and the rest of the offense can return to their 2019 form, then wagering on them to win the Super Bowl at +1800 has excellent value. If not, you might want to stay away from them for now.
There are a few clubs with an outside chance of making a run that could be worth a wager right now due to the substantial value in the odds. Admittedly, at this stage it would be a long shot that these clubs could make a serious run at the Lombardi Trophy but since long shots pay the best, perhaps we shouldn’t be discounting any teams with an outside shot of making the postseason.
The Cardinals are 6-4 following Week 11 and are battling for their playoff lives down the stretch of the regular season. Arizona ranks in the top 10 in scoring offense and the top half of the NFL in scoring defense, so they ve been decent enough on both sides of the ball.
A couple of weeks back, this team was a legitimate threat to surprise us all and take the NFC West, but the competition is stiff with the Rams and Seahawks, and it looks like this group will be forced to try and get in via the Wild Card.
