We are reaching the midway point of the spring football season but there’s still plenty of games to be plated and we are continuing to help bettors with our XFL Week 5 predictions!
The action on the field has remained pretty strong and even though overall attendance has taken a dip, there’s still a huge interest in the league from a gambling standpoint as XFL picks and predictions have remained a fan favorite. As the sports calendar heats up with March Madness and baseball starting, the next few weeks will continue to be important as we monitor the overall success of the XFL.
Odds are available in every state where betting is legal, including at all the best NJ betting sites, and anyone is free to make XFL picks and predictions once you’re located in the right place. Other states with operators offering lines for mobile betting each week include Pennsylvania, Indiana, and West Virginia as well.
The season is still young but at the very east, some trends are beginning to develop that may help us make XFL betting picks, although it still is a bit of a guessing game week-to-week given some of the unpredictable results.
The Houston Roughnecks look to keep its perfect record when hosting the Seattle Dragons as massive 13.5-point favorites in Week 5, according to odds from FanDuel. Because the spread is so large, we are focusing on the total of 45.5 points, which feels low to us.

The leader for XFL MVP is Houston QB P.J. Walker, who now leads the league with 987 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and just two interceptions, plus a rushing score. The Roughnecks have scored at least 27 points in each game this season led by Walker and star WR Cam Phillips, and we have to expect this team to reach that number again on Saturday.
Despite being 1-3, Seattle has managed to keep games close and haven’t lost by more than 12 points. If betting a side, however, take the undefeated Roughnecks since they just defeated a Dallas team that hosted Seattle two weeks ago and won by 12.
The Dragons’ offense will have to pitch in for this to reach 46 points, but the Roughnecks have an awesome offense and an average defense at best. This number is already 46 at some other sites so if you’re with us on this over for your Week 5 XFL predictions, sign up with a FanDuel NJ promo code for the best odds.
A pair of 2-2 teams will face off in Week 5 as the Dallas Renegades host the New York Guardians as eight-point favorites at Globe Life Park in Arlington. With both teams dealing with injuries to their starting quarterbacks we are once again turning our attention to the total, which is very low at 37 points.

Dallas QB Landry Jones was expected to be the top QB in this league and just when he started to find his groove, a leg injury has him on the sidelines. The injury cost Dallas a chance to upset Houston in Week 4 and with Philip Nelson under center it’s unlikely the offense runs the same way.
For New York, losing starter Matt McGloin was no big deal as backup QB Luis Perez did an admirable job in the 17-14 win in Week 4 The Guardians won the game with excellent third-down defense and 82 yards on the ground from RB Darius Victor, who will definitely be utilized in Dallas.
We can also expect the Renegades to run the ball plenty with former NFLers Cameron Artis-Payne and Lance Dunbar, which should lead to the clock bleeding out. Throw in the fact that all four Guardians games have gone below the total, and we ‘ve got the recipe for another under as part of our XFL Week 5 picks.

The XFL East division is currently headed by the St. Louis BattleHawks, who travel to play second-place DC on Sunday as 3.5-point favorites with the total set for 39 points. St. Louis continues to be the league’s example for efficient offense and suffocating defense, so will DC be able to get out of its funk at home?
Wager On Week 5 XFL Betting Odds At William Hill
The BattleHawks have gone over 100 rushing yards in every game this season as QB Jordan Ta’amu is second in the league with 876 passing yards, while Ta’amu and RB Matt Jones rank top five in rushing. The offense has gone two straight weeks without a turnover and managed to average 26 points in the last pair of games to improve the record to 3-1.
On the other side, Defenders QB Cardale Jones has thrown zero touchdowns and five picks as the Defenders have gotten outscored 64-9 in two embarrassing losses. DC definitely erased its great start with back-to-back clunkers on the road but with this team returning home, we expect to see a group closer to the one we saw dominate in the first two weeks.
It seems like a slam dunk for St. Louis, but that’s not how this league works. With a completely Jekyll & Hyde team going back home and St. Louis failing to cover for the first time last week, we are going with the underdog and the points, even though DC did allow over 250 rushing yards last week.
Getting the extra half-point is huge and this site is one of the only places we can find that line for DC, so make sure you’re signed up with a William Hill NJ promo code if you’re looking to bet on the Defenders this week.
A pair of 1-3 teams look to pick up their second win as the LA Wildcats host the Tampa Bay Vipers as very slight favorites according to odds from DraftKings Sportsbook. This one is definitely a toss-up and oddsmakers agree, but we are going with Los Angeles to bounce back and fading Tampa Bay until they give us some more reasons to back them.

Tampa Bay finally earned its first win last week, running for an incredible 266 yards on DC while QB Taylor Cornelius threw for 211 yards and completed 77 percent of his passes. The problem with betting on the Vipers is that they looked absolutely brutal the first three weeks, especially the first two games away from home, and that’s what they face in Week 5.
Los Angeles laid a serious egg against New York, but with the inclement weather and cross-country travel, maybe that should’ve been expected (luckily we had the under). This time around, Tampa is traveling and the Wildcats get to play at home where they scored 39 points in their most recent game thanks to three TDs from QB Josh Johnson.
To take the Wildcats and this small spread, make sure to use a DraftKings NJ promo code when signing up and get a huge bonus bet and no-deposit bonus in the process!
