Fox Bet PA Goes Live In September As NFL Season Arrives

The newly-minted Fox Bet brand is wasting no time expanding its operation, and the timing couldn't be any more perfect. As the pro football season is set to arrive, the Fox Bet PA app is live and ready to take sports bets on the NFL Week 1 schedule as the fifth online betting site to launch in The Keystone State.

Fox Sports' historic partnership with gaming powerhouse The Stars Group means that for the first time, a major American media outlet has its name on a sports gambling platform. Fox is putting in the work to become a one-stop-shop where fans can get their sports/betting news and place their wagers, and the expansion to Pennsylvania is just another step toward relevance in the online sports betting world.

FOX Bet PA Launches Side-By-Side With FOX Bet NJ For NFL Season

Fox Bet Promo

The Fox Bet app in Pennsylvania going live comes days after the launch of Fox Bet NJ in the Garden State during the final days of August 2019. The site was rebranded from BetStars, which struggled to keep pace in the growing NJ online sports betting market but should experience a resurrection of sorts under the Fox name.

The difference between the two states is that in Pennsylvania, the FoxBet app isn't joining a crowded market like in New Jersey, where operator numbers have reached double digits. With just a handful of competitors, Fox Bet PA may be able to pull in a higher share of bettors from its state.

While it will be unlikely to match its New Jersey counterpart dollar-for-dollar in revenue due to a much higher tax rate, the Fox Bet Pennsylvania platform should be able to have a larger effect on the larger picture as one of the only sports betting sites in PA.

New Jersey and Pennsylvania are two of the states achieving huge success with sports gambling outside the state of Nevada, so it makes sense Fox Sports wanted to make a big splash with launches in both places as soon as possible.

Fox Sports, TSG Make Sports Betting History

In May 2019, Fox Sports invested $236 million into The Stars Group in order to pioneer its way into the sports gambling space. In exchange, Fox retained a shade under five percent of TSG and an option to take over as much as 50 percent of the company within the first decade of the agreement (a move that has been expected since the announcement).

Fox going where other large American media companies wouldn't. Disney and Comcast have expansive sports broadcasting rights but haven't moved any closer to getting involved with the sports gambling industry, while Fox Bet has chosen to meet the evolving times head-on.

New Jersey and Pennsylvania are two of the states achieving huge success with sports gambling outside the state of Nevada, so it makes sense Fox Sports wanted to make a big splash with launches in both states as soon as possible. Especially before the NFL football season, which will provide an instant boost to Fox in both states.

How Does Fox Bet PA Work?

When BetStars was turned into Fox Bet NJ, some upgrades were made to the platform and the FoxBet PA app mirrors those changes. A fresh, navy blue-dominant interface is accompanied by new promotions that provide considerable incentives to prospective bettors.

When it comes to FoxBet promos, bettors can expect to claim $20 in free cash just for signing up. The site also offers a 100 percent deposit match bonus up to $100 while entering funds into your newly-created account. The FoxBet app offers markets in a lengthy list sports including the following:

  • Football (NFL/NCAA)
  • Baseball
  • Basketball (NBA/NCAA)
  • Hockey
  • Golf
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Boxing/MMA
  • Motor Sports
  • Darts

Along with a wide range of sports offered, the application also includes a range of bet types that provides a flavor for every bettor:

  • Moneylines
  • Point Spreads
  • Parlays
  • Futures
  • Props
  • In-game betting

Recently introduced wagering options include Bet Boosts and Super Boosts, which can feature pre-packaged multi-game parlays or boosted odds on props. There are also Custom Bets, which connects Fox Bet with its player base by taking suggestions and applying odds to new gambling markets.

Fox Sports Is Taking Advantage Of Its TV Personalities

When you visit the new Fox Bet PA app, its intertwinement with Fox Sports is everywhere. While going through the site, one of the company's many TV personalities such as Colin Cowherd or Cris Carter is on display. There's a method to this marketing, too. The company is tying talent at Fox Sports with NFL betting by offering picks as promotions. As of now, we count up to nine specialty Fox Bet promotions. Here are just a couple that you may be interested in:

Colin Cowherd's Blazin' Five

The concept is simple, Colin makes five NFL against-the-spread picks every Sunday. If he has a winning week, you double your money! To be more specific, if three or more of the teams cover the spread then the bet wins and your money doubles. The max bet on this promotion is $100.

Monday's Featured Bet Boost By Cris Carter

Want advice from a Hall of Famer? Well, Cris Carter has got your back. After analyzing the next upcoming Monday Night Game, Carter makes decides on the best value play. With that decision comes a special Fox Bet odds boost to help you have a chance to win even more money.
