PA Online Casino Revenue Reaches New Heights In November

With new names entering the fray on the PA online casino side, as well as a recognizable force in sports betting powering PA online sportsbooks, online gambling as a whole in Pennsylvania was able to flourish in November as we head to the holiday season.

In a matter of a few short months, online sportsbooks in PA were able to triple their total handle, bringing in a total of over $266 million in November alone while powering the total for the state to over $316 million. This is the first time Pennsylvania has eclipsed the $300-million mark in handle.

Far and away, FanDuel PA Sportsbook is leading the pack with over half of the online handle when compared to the rest of the online sportsbooks in PA according to the recent numbers from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Benefitting from early adoption in the state and easy brand recognition, their $5.64 million revenue number for November is almost 4.5 times that of second-place Parx Sportsbook.

The Keystone State as a whole raked in $11,426,397 in online sports betting revenue for November, sliding past October's total of $10.31 million to establish a new high.

Led by SugarHouse Online Casino and their new revenue high of $3.17 million in November, online casinos in Pennsylvania pulled in nearly $7.7 million for the month. This establishes a new high for the operators as a whole, aided by the debuts of Unibet PA Online Casino and PokerStars Casino PA in November.

PA online poker made a huge splash in PokerStars PA Online Poker's November debut, starting off strong with almost $2 million in revenue. This debut number actually eclipses New Jersey online poker revenue numbers from the same month, as NJ pulled in $1.49 million for November. It's worth keeping an eye out in the coming months to see how much online poker in Pennsylvania may grow.

  • $11.43 million in gross online sports betting win
  • $7.69 million in gross online casino gaming win
  • $1.97 million in gross online poker gaming win

Even though online gambling in Pennsylvania is in its infancy, we can see strong gains in every facet of it with aggressive growth in the online side far surpassing land-based gambling in PA. The holiday season could possibly bring even bigger gains, especially in the sports betting realm with the NFL playoffs on the horizon as well as the upcoming College Football bowl season.
