West Virginia online casinos are now legal! The West Virginia Lottery Interactive Wagering Act became law on March 27 after several steps, which included the House passing the bill in February and then the Senate overwhelmingly approving it after some amendments. Due to West Virginia law, Gov. Jim Justice had 15 days sign or veto the bill after it passed the state legislature on March 9. Gov. Justice did neither, allowing WV online casinos to become legal.
West Virginia is fifth state in the US to legalize online gambling. The other four states are:

There are currently five land-based casinos in West Virginia that will have an opportunity to run online casinos:
In November, Mountaineer Casino entered a 20-year deal with The Stars Group, the company who runs PokerStars. This could mean Mountaineer Casino will have the ability to launch WV online poker, WV online sports betting and WV online casino games. Each license will cost the West Virginia land-based casinos $250,000 for a five-year license, while reupping a five-year license will cost $100,000. Revenue from WV online casinos will be taxed at 15 percent.
BetLucky Sportsbook which is powered by Delaware North, was the first West Virginia online sports betting app. Unfortunately for players in WV, Delaware North has ended its deal with supplier, Miomni. The BetLucky app is currently not taking new players, making WV sports betting a waiting game for West Virginia residents and visitors.
